Can't find any threads on any design work for the Vesta-class USS Aventine, as featured prominently in the "Destiny" books. Certainly someone has designed the ship. All I've seen so far is a pencil sketch, and not very detailed at that. I'm looking for something along the lines of the Luna-class design work. Certainly this has been discussed before, but looking back through Trek Art threads, I can't find anything. Can someone help a brother out?

I ... am not overly thrilled by that design.
Yeah, tis a bit chunky and has a bit much junk in the trunk.
The lifeboats aren't even placed straight, fer cryin' out loud. The floors are probably all wobbly wobbly, too.
Slave labor: you get what you pay for.

^Rather, it's the preliminary concept sketch for the official design. We don't know how it might have evolved since then.
Well, at least the sketch looks beautiful.

I think it's safe to say that the final design still captures the same look/feel as the concept sketch.
I have been out for a couple of months, buying a house & doing a (non artistic) study is deadly for creativity!
I'm currently making a plan for the following:
I got the Aventine finished for the SOTL2010 image, but I want to do a post "Destiny" refit. (Slightly modified/enhanced version for wallpapers, animation etc.) That's going to take some time, but at least I will be able to post progress on that, something that is not possible for the calendar images. Keep an eye out on Trekmovie.com another preview might show up there soon.
