While she might have died from things other from drugs, use of drugs can weaken or damage your body that last forever, making you more susceptible to things that can kill you.

What was sad was that she started using drugs, that was a sad. But after that point, frankly it's hardly a surprise or sad.

I agree. It's never sad once someone is hooked on drugs, when everyday is a battle, when they're in prime condition to be abused and taken advantage of by someone else, when their mind is betraying them and when they're likely being shunned by everyone they know. Definitely not very sad.
