Urban outs the villain. Maybe.

Ohmigod. Cumberbatch is playing Margaret Mitchell, and the plot is all about the Enterprise going back in time to make sure Gone With The Wind is written!

Working title: STAR TREK: TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.

You heard it here first . . . .
That's quite the set-up, just for the purpose of using that punchline. :p

Would you believe I didn't think of the punchline until after I typed the Margaret Mitchell bit? Really!

Sorry friends :(

last posts in Trek Movie are not the real boborci. They are fake.
That was getting pretty silly. I counted at least three different Orcis in the comments thread, including "Saucy Orci".

I'm still thinking Cumberbatch is playing Khan and Peter Weller is playing an advanced age Gary Seven who seeks out Kirk to capture Khan.

I can definitely see Weller portraying Gary Seven, but I really, really hope that Cumberbund isn't playing Khan. Personally, I think Urban really did let the cat out of the bag by accident, hence his back-peddling now. Based on what I've seen of BC's acting thus far, I think Mitchell would be a good match for him, especially a Mitchell who's ESP has turned him into a super-human of some sort. Plus, I think Mitchell as the 'bad guy' is more interesting than doing Khan again, simply because of his friendship and history with Kirk.

My guess as to what role Weller is really playing would be an operative of Section 31. I could be wrong, but I think it would fit with the potential Mitchell storyline.

But does he still have that same history with Kirk due to the differences in the timeline?

Plus, I think it would be weird for them to try and remake Where No Man... yet again after already doing it in the comic. I'm not sure there are too many different ways to tell that particular story.

I guess that you could always go down the road of Gary Mitchell being a genetically engineered agent of Section 31 who went rogue?

But you'd lose much of the back story with Kirk and it really wouldn't resemble any of the events of Where No Man.... In a case like that, you're simply recycling the name as nothing there really resembles the character that came before.
