Upgraded an Oldie

I don't know how many times I have re-done this piece but I think I'm finally happy. It's been used as a book cover a couple times but I'm happy to let it stand as a stand alone art piece. I created a new planet and nebula while also upgrading the shading/lighting. I haven't given this the obligatory "sleep on it" review so I may have missed something in the composition that might work better, but for right now I'm pleased. I've included a bit of a WIP to go along with it, as I'll be putting that in my portfolio.

Well, I'm never completely satisfied...and as a result I've been tinkering with some new planets. Might toss this one in there, perhaps with some updated rings.

Very nice! You've got a good grasp of drawing in perspective, and the background looks great!

was the book a official or fan made?

Neither, really...I just made up a title, author and blurb for the back as the cover was a school project.

Thanks! :techman:

This is enterprise era correct? I'd love to see other angles.

Correct. I do plan to flesh the design out a bit more with some new angles and perhaps some orthos if time permits.

That planet is just frickin' lovely. And I really like your take on what an Star Trek: Enterprise-era Miranda-class starship would look like. VERY nice... more please!

If there's an Enterprise, there's a reliant version of it (Nebula etc.) . This is a intriguing take on the 22nd century era design. Great work!!!
