For the last few days (at least) myself and several of my fellow TrekBBSers have been encountering a weird problem - but only some of the time: When I open up a new page or tab, I get redirected to the following web site:
_http://downloads.giochimobi.com/FPlayer/UK/auload.html?installer=Flash_Player_13_for_Other_Browsers&browser_type=KHTML&dualoffer=false_
and a pop-up message informs me that I need to upgrade my Java - for which a download link is provided. Obviously this is bogus, but you cannot close the page without first downloading a file (which I immediately delete, of course).
As I mentioned, this does not happen all the time, but it is annoying when it does. My friends are in different countries and we have experienced this issue at seemingly random intervals no matter if we use Firefox, Chrome or IE.
Has anyone else been plagued by this annoyance recently?
