So where is the ebook version of Before Dishonor? I bought the paper edition. But would have gotten the ebook had it been out.

Good question.

So did I, right out of the bookstore, too, the day it was released, something that's quite rare for me. Got either what was apparently the last copy or they only ordered one sole copy for some reason. Did you read the entire book yet?

I'm very excited to see the next installment of the Titan series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two and I've been itching for more.

Lucky for you: there's actually three instalments already! Taking Wing, The Red King and the most recent one, Orion's Hounds.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

And IMHO, Orion's Hounds has been the best so one far.

Are "Slings and Arrows" fan fiction? Do they go with the current time line (Q & A, Before Dishonor, etc)?

If there are e books out too that continue with the time line then I feel really out of the loop.

I know it's ignorant but I thought that TNG and all the TV shows just came out in print. :brickwall:

Fan fiction? Buh?

Slings and Arrows is an eBook miniseries. Pocket has been producing original Star Trek eBooks since the summer of 2000 with the debut of the Star Trek: S.C.E. (Starfleet Corps of Engineers) series -- three new eBooks that summer, then a monthly series starting in 2001 that continued through to 2006. Then the series was relaunched as Star Trek: Corps of Engineers, and it alternates with other eBook miniseries. The first of those miniseries was Mere Anarchy, a TOS 40th anniversary story that covered the entirety of TOS history. Slings and Arrows is a TNG 20th anniversary miniseries that covers the first year of the Enterprise-E's service leading up to First Contact.

Hope that helps. :)

If you want to know more about the series check out this link Memory Beta: SCE. Memory Beta is a Star Trek wiki devoted to the books, comics, and video games. IMO it is probably one of the best sources for information on the books. I think I've even heard the authors talk about using it.

Yes, I realized that. I just didn't like Orion's Hounds very much and that's why I didn't mention it.

^ At some point, they might end up in print, but they're not on any schedule yet.

Do ebooks usually come out late? Because I feel like both this and last month's Slings and Arrows came out after the 1st. Is there a range of distribution dates, such as with paper books?

^ Yup. There's no more of a pattern to release of eBooks than there are print books. :brickwall:

Is there any reason why there's no more of a pattern to the release of ebooks? It just seems like with it being all electronic and all, it would be very easy to just push a button and have all the books available.

^They still have to be written, edited, formatted, proofread, have virtual "cover art" made, the files prepared for various formats, distributed to the various online sellers, etc. and paperwork for paying the authors and artists. Lots of checks and balances beyond pushing a button.

When deadlines loom, more attention is diverted to the publishers' biggest money-spinners. eBooks probably take a lower priority.
