^ Just a note, Rosalind, that Rough Beasts of Empire does not exactly feature the crew of Deep Space Nine. It is decidedly not a DSN story. It does, however, feature Ben Sisko in a prominent role.

I just saw both Seize the Fire and Myriad Universes: Shattered Light in the bookshops here, that's very prompt. I kinda gave up waiting for Trek books to come out in Oz shops over the last couple of years.

Just picked up Rough Beasts of Empire today, can't wait to start reading (I'm almost done with Seize the Fire).

Since "Destiny", S&S Australia has been air-freighting - and not passing on the extra cost.

^ yeah, but Dymocks didn't get the last two COE omnibuses, and Unworthy only showed up recently, AFAIK.

Sometimes titles only appear on the managers' radar when a pre-order is made by a customer, and then they'll get in a whole batch rather than just one book.

I'm sure all those titles made it to my local Dymocks. Of course, I already bought mine (on preorder) from Galaxy.

Seize the Fire and Shattered Light have finally made it to this side of the Atlantic. Will hopefully start the former soon.

I got an eMail earlier today that amazon.de has shipped my copy, so I would guess it should begin to appear in the book stores in the US as well.

The MMPBs usually start to appear in the last two weeks of the month preceeding their "official" release month.

Thanks, Defcon; I did not know that they started to come out towards the end of the month before the official release. The Borders bookstore I go to is a little behind, but you gave me a rough idea when I should be expecting Disharmony. I always call the store before I go over there, but it's nice to know when the book should be out so I don't pester them for nothing. :)

^You're welcome.

Paths of Disharmony arrived today. :)

I will have to finish Rough Beasts of Empire first before starting it though.

When does the eBook version usually come out? I'd imagine it's pretty close to (or actually on) the supposed "on-sale" date for the dead tree version, right?

Yep. But that tends to be a week or two after it actually starts popping up in physical stores.

If you shop at Borders, you can go to www.bordersstores.com and search their inventory at any store online, avoiding the need to call them and possibly deal with someone who will give you the wrong information. Their inventory is 99% accurate - the only times I've ever used it and been disappointed is because the book arrived but the employees were too lazy to put it on the shelves.
