It's new in paperback, so it counts as one of the slots in most cases (DiW being an exception). This has happened with the other two Vulcan's Soul books, so it shouldn't be surprising at this point. However, it is the first month in a while that there hasn't been a printed book with a completely new story in a given month.

Really? I have never purchased an E-Book. Can they be downloaded to more than one computer (so I could download it at work and home)?

It depends on the format, really. For instance, eReader e-books can be downloaded or copied onto more than one computer -- all you need is to re-enter your activation code (the number of the credit card you bought them with) each time you open them with a different copy of the reader software.

So does that mean I can read the Slings and Arrows books on more than one computer?????

Microsoft eReader can be activated on six different machines, but you must first obtain a .Net passport (or whatever they call it now). I have both a desktop and a laptop that I have activated eReader on and can open e-books purchased from SimonSays on either machine. No need to re-download - I simply copy the files over.

wow, that sucks. I haven't been reading the Klingon books, so no rush to buy Burning House (maybe I'll catch up on those later). 2 e-books, while maybe interesting, I'm not really doing at the moment, so nothing there. And then March gets me the reprint of a book I read over a year ago. Gotta love the slimed-down schedule. I WANT to give them my money, but they don't want it ;)

What with the TV writers' strike, would have been a good time to have a little extra Trek to fall back on, but guess it's not to be. Maybe in the spring...

^ Book scheduling is done way way in advance. The books that were coming out around now were set months ago, before the strike even happened.

And the reason why there's no new book in March is because Kevin Ryan's mother died, delaying the release of Book 3 of Errand of Fury to January 2009.

And you should read A Burning House. So there. :klingon:

heheh, I'll read it eventually, Krad, so no worries there. Just didn't key into the series at first, so haven't really gone for any of them, and would have some catching up to do.

And I know the schedule is done long ago, and not reflective of the strike, just sayin' it would have been nice to have more to read since the tv isn't giving out much right now.

Sorry to hear about Kevin's mother. That's a series that really feels like it was scheduled poorly, though. Those three books were spread out over far too long a time, and IMO would have read better as a quick 3-book series, as I don't really know if they have the "big" event feel to sustain the story over 3+ years. Every time a new one comes out, you have to reread all the others to remember anything at all about the story...

How is that a problem, if you've run out of new books to read?

How I wish I didn't have a stockpile, so I could also re-read old favourites! I re-read numerous Bantams in the delay between "The Entropy Effect" and "The Klingon Gambit".

Please don't confuse MS Reader with eReader. Two totally different formats and programs and they are not compatible with each other.

I'm still deciding if I want A Burning House in pBook or eBook format. I still have time to decide as I've just recently started A Good Day to Die.
