Upcoming Author Signing Events Thread

This weekend (fittingly) is London: 1999, a covention celebrating Gerry Anderson's sci-fi TV drama Space: 1999, and I'll be along on Saturday 14th as part of the Anderson Productions team promoting the launch of my new (non-Trek) tie-in novellas Space: 1999 - The Armageddon Engine and UFO - Shadow Play. I'll be appearing on a Q&A panel and signing (any and all of!) my books during the rest of the day.

Details of the event are here; for more about the books, click here...

NYCC will have a "Writers Block" -- an equivalent to Artist Alley, but for authors. Three Trek word-slingers will be there, and we'll be at tables next to each other, too! It'll be me, John Jackson Miller, and Michael Jan Friedman.

I'll be at Table 1 in the Writer's Block most of the time, with additional signing sessions at the Random House booth, #3021 — my new Batman: Resurrection novel releases on Tuesday, so we'll have it at both places.

I also have a talk with Adam Nimoy on his new book, Thursday at 2 in Room 1B02, with Adam and me doing a signing to follow. I return to room 1B02 at 8 on Thursday for a panel on writing adaptations.

No Calgary or Las Vegas for me this year, but I attend my first event in France in April: Generation Star Wars in Vichy.

Stateside, I'll be appearing at GalaxyCon Richmond March 27-30 -- and in addition to my booth, I'll also be debuting a presentation: "The Expanding Universe: How Star Trek Transformed Tie-In Comics and Novels" Friday at 12:15 in room E22.

I'll also be doing my "Legacy of Tim Burton's Batman" presentation Saturday at 11 a.m., same room. I will reprise that one at C2E2 in April. I also do Phoenix Fan Fusion for the first time this year.

My schedule for the first half of the year is here.

I keep swearing I'm going to make it out to Phoenix Fan Fest some time, but I almost always end up working or something comes up that I don't have the money.

Forgot to post here last week that I was at Indiana Comic Con, and right now I'm at MidSouthCon 40 in Olive Branch, Mississippi (a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee), where I'm the Author Guest of Honor.

Next weekend is Trek Long Island 3 in Hauppauge, New York! There will be a buttload of Trek scribes from 30 May to 1 June at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, including:
  • Christopher D. Abbott (Trek articles for ScreenRant)
  • Derek Tyler Attico (The Autobiography of Benjamin Sisko, Star Trek Adventures)
  • Keith R.A. DeCandido (hey, that's me! -- Articles of the Federation, Star Trek Explorer)
  • Mary Fan (StarTrek.com)
  • Michael Jan Friedman (the Stargazer series, TNG: Death in Winter)
  • Glenn Greenberg (TOS: Untold Voyages, SCE: The Art of the Deal)
  • Robert Greenberger (TNG: A Time to Love, TNG: A Time to Hate)
  • Glenn Hauman (SCE: Creative Couplings, New Frontier: No Limits)
  • Amy Imhoff (StarTrek.com)
  • Adeena Mignogna (Star Trek Explorer)
  • John Peel (DS9: Objective Bajor, TNG: Here There Be Dragons)
  • Aaron Rosenberg (SCE: The Riddled Post, SCE: Collective Hindsight)
In addition, there will be a ton of other guests. There will be actors from TOS (Phil Morris, Louise Sorel), DS9 (Terry Farrell, Andrew J. Robinson), Voyager (Susan Diol, Iona Morris), Enterprise (John Billingsley, Bonita Friedericy), Discovery (Elena Juatco), Picard (Alex Diehl, Tiffany Shepis, Olivia Youngers), and Prodigy (John Noble). (SNW's Celia Rose Gooding was originally scheduled to be a guest, but filming schedules changed, and she can't be there, alas.) There will be some other authors, as well: Catherine Asaro, Ken Deep, and Jan Fennick. Plus cosplayers, diversity advocates, drag performers, podcasters, and so many more!

My schedule is here, and you can find out more at the con's web site.

Next weekend is the Origins Games Fair, to be held in Columbus, Ohio from the 18th to the 22nd of June. Among the guests in Authors Alcove (booth 1918 on the exhibit floor) are three Trek prose stylists: Kelli Fitzpatrick (Star Trek Adventures, the Strange New Worlds anthologies), Aaron Rosenberg (Starfleet Corps of Engineers), and me, Keith R.A. DeCandido (Articles of the Federation, Star Trek Explorer).

I'll have copies of the hardcover collections of Star Trek Explorer short stories that I'm in, as well as other stuff ranging from my Alien fiction to my Sherlock Holmes stories to my "Precinct" and "Bram Gold" novel series, and tons more!
