Unseen TOS coming in December....

Disappointed they aren't doing the work needed to integrate the clips into the episodes. But, since I'll probably pass on TAS on Blu, I'll likely pick this up.

So has the unreleased footage actually been remastered in HD like the rest of TOS?

Some folks believe that some of this is film that was stored to supply Lincoln Enterprises with frames for when they'd sell grab bags of film. Luckily it was stored so well!

I bought one of those grab bags in the late 1970's. It had clips from Wolf in the Fold, Who Mourns for Adonis and other 2nd season episodes.

I don't want scenes replaced with crappy CGI.
Well, I don't either, but that's not what remastering means....

As general questions to everybody, especially those who know the answers (sorry, I don't have time to drill down and find out at the moment), until now these scenes have only existed in film format, right? The term "remaster" couldn't possibly apply at all for this release, could it, and the proper term would be transfered, or some such, yes? Will it be released in HD format is the question. I hope it will be.

Tell that to the people at CBS.

Yeah "transferred" would probably be the right term. And yes I do hope it is in HD format.

There's nothing to tell them. They understand just fine; it was the proper term for TOS-R, since it was remastered. They just also added those awful new VFX to replace the ones that don't look good in HD. It's us fans who get confused, because we just don't know.

Yes. By remastering I am referring to the process of re-scanning the original film at HD resolutions, cleaning it up, colour correcting, that sort of thing.
