Hi, guys,

After a three month absence I've written new synopses of three Star Trek story outlines -- "The Apple" (not much different than the script that emerged, save there is no papier-mache Vaal), "The Sons of Socrates" (the episode that resulted was called "Plato's Stepchildren") and "Turnabout Intruder (terrible epilogue with Kirk doubting his manhood that was, thankfully, dropped).

What I'm really stoked about is a new contributor. Dave Tilotta has recently purchased about 60 early draft scripts and will be joining me in the reviewing department. For his first outing he gives us a glimpse of some changes that took place between the final draft of "The Lights of Zetar" and the shooting stage. Dave is a collector of cells and his article is lavishly illustrated.

Dave Tilotta is of course TrekBBS's very own valued poster alchemist.

But that's not all. Dave recently conducted an interview with John Schoengarth, the son of editor Bruce Schoengarth. John had some rare behind-the-scenes photos to share, including one of his dad and our favoritie Helen. . . so rush over there, boys! Also, make sure you click on the photo of the cover of the "Catspaw" script. Bloch was gonna kill ???????!!! Say it isn't so, Bob.

The script reviews can be accessed by clicking the first link in my signature. All are marked with "NEW."

The Schoengarth interview is located here: http://www.fastcopyinc.com/orionpress/interviews/a_montage_of_memories_with_john_schoengarth.htm

Dave and Dave hope you enjoy our little efforts.

^ Thirding those sentiments. I absolutely love your script archive, and this interview sounds awesome!

Sir,

You do great work on your site. It's really good. Where do you get your information from?

Thanks Sir Rhosis, that's some nice work.

I loved the self-doubt scene for Kirk at the end of Turnabout Intruder, almost as bad as what was planned for The Enemy Within (not that the actual ending wasn't as bad either).
