Unofficial Lost figures

Dashopkinsfan

Lieutenant Commander

Hey guys,

I stumbled across this site when I was looking for Lost custom figure receipes:

http://z11.invisionfree.com/LOST_Unofficial/index.php?

My own Juliet custom is here: http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f269/Dashopkinsfan/

Anyway - it struck me as such a "Trekie" thing to do - a bunch of fans getting together and hiring a sculptor to finish McFarlane's work :D Series 1 is Juliet & Dan and series 2 is looking like Des and Ben. What do you all think? The pics look pretty great! Check out Dan - looks just like him...

PS - I hope it's okay to post the link here - I'm not affiliated with the site, though I did order a set - anyway, please close if not okay :)

Your Juliet figure is really impressive! I imagine that takes a lot of work and careful detailing. What a cool project! :D

Thanks for the compliment Top41!

If you haven’t guessed, the base is a Diamond Select Deanna Troi figure in her lavender outfit - the shoes and walkie are from some lady Stargate figure, the hair and shirt/pant bottoms are Sculpy, the base is McF's Kate with a lot of sculpy, and the plants are fish tank decorations :D The hair was the hardest part to do, and I’m still not 100% satisfied with it. I tried to have it sculpted away from the back of her head so that I could move it into different positions, but the way I did it is very weak and there is a visible seam where the two sections went together after it broke.

After I took these pics, I had to reposition the figure because the left leg started to warp – so now she’s standing instead of running. I also did some more paintwork on the shirt and pants by dry brushing them… so it looks a bit different now. I’ll try to get newer pics posted soon.

I’m glad you like the project! I decided to finish work on my custom in preparation of the unofficial figures coming so I could practice painting it! :D

^I never would have guessed the base was a Deanna Troi figure--you've truly transformed her and made her your own!

I'll look forward to seeing the new pics. :)
