We're just getting this now in Australia (shwon in US in January on Showtime). I don't recall a thread here about it, so thought I'd ask.

Basic outline: a family copes with a wife and mother who has multiple personalities.

Just saw the first ep and I was pretty impressed. Toni Collette has never been a favourite actress (not much fussed on Muriel's Wedding), but she's very good in this. And the rest of the family seems pretty well thought out too.

Anyone else seen it? Thoughts?

I didn't like it. Diablo Cody is a Joss Whedon wannabe IMO. She doesn't do clever, like he can. PLus I never bought into the idea that anyone would be comforable with these alternate personalties. The family treats their mom's condition, as if it's not a big deal. Granted I only saw the first ep, so it might have improved but it didn't start well for me.

I think Diablo Cody is a pretty good writer, but I'd definitely need to see more of her work before I can make a serious call on that.

I'm a big Toni Collette fan, but I still haven't seen this show. I've been meaning to.

Liked the show. Cody is a really good, entertaining writer - she's sure not lesser than Whedon, whom I'm a big fan of.

I LOVE this show. I was just about to start a thread about it! I've only seen the first half of the season so far but it has quickly become one of my favorite shows. It only gets better after the first episode so keep watching!
