Uniforms not getting enough attention.

What gripes me after the wonderful, awesome, indescribably perfect casting in this movie, is that there is no casting Oscar.

Yeah, teya -- Alan Dean Foster is writing a sequel to the movie novelization, called "Star Trek: Refugees," and to me that could easily be about Vulcans. From the Trek News Item:

Now that the Star Trek XI novelization is out, fans who enjoy Foster's work can look forward to his sequel to Star Trek XI. "I signed the contract, so that's a go," said Foster. "At least the first step is a go. The second step is for Pocket Books and Paramount to approve the outline...I did a fairly extensive outline for the book which has the tentative title of Star Trek: Refugees which I can't explain without giving anything away. I mean, I just signed the contract. But hopefully the outline will be approved since the book is due in October."
