I believe the JJverse was close to the Prime one but separate before Nero and Spock entered it.
Hack, hack, cough, HACK!The Kelvin was only seen in the JJverse and there could be changes in the past due how the temporal war players may have changed(as an example).
But why would you even think this to begin with? Would you be thinking this if, say, the Kelvin bridge looked just like the TOS Enterprise bridge from "The Cage," and the uniforms looked like "The Cage" uniforms?
The "JJverse" started when Nero came back through time and changed things. Before he did that, the universe was the same as the prime TOS universe. That's what Kurtzman and Orci stated, and that's good enough for me. YMMV.
What you or I believe is irrelevant. We have no proprietary or creative control of Star Trek. The pre-Nero scenes in ST09 are set in the "Prime Universe", therefore everything we see in those scenes are part of it. You don't have to like it, but that's just the way it is.I believe the JJverse was close to the Prime one but separate before Nero and Spock entered it.
Hack, hack, cough, HACK!
Damn, there's goes a lung.
There are always exceptions.Hack, hack, cough, HACK!

Yah.
I narrate audiobooks for a living, 75% of which are total shit. So I know a hack writer when I read one.
Post-Berman Trek, Paramount is not in the habit of hiring screenwriters for their most popular and profitable franchise who are hacks.
I heard they were inspired by SF uniforms seen in films from the 40s and 50s.the Kelvin uniforms look like TNG uniforms. Wonder why?
They look like a neat halfway between ENT (blue, shoulder stripes) and TOS to me (as well as the AGT future unis)
