Underrepresented Characters

From Voyager, I would have liked Lindsey Ballard remain aboard Voyager as her new Kobali self, so we could have learned more about that species. They could have ended it with her Kobali father making peace with Voyager.

Similarly, I would have liked to have seen more of the three misfit crewmembers from Good Shepherd.

And I hated when they wrote off three of the Borg children, especially Mezoti, in Imperfection, and also never followed up with what happened with the Borg baby. Keeping both Mezoti and the baby would have opened more story ideas also including Naomi Wildman and her mother, who could have adopted the baby, Mezoti, or both.

So, Samantha Wildman was never killed, she just made significantly less appearances than Naomi. Samantha's last appearance chronologically was in season 5's Once Upon a Time, which ironically is Scarlett Pomers's first episode as Naomi. Samantha does return in season 6's Fury, though it is in flashback scenes set during season 1.

How Ro got on in the Maquis. Even some dialogue on DS9 would've kept me happy. It's just that with her tactical training one would think she was quite prominent. Thomas Riker's fate too. Was he ever sprang from his Cardassian dungeon? Did the Dominion attempt to make use of him?

I would have loved more of TNG's Selar and Voyager's Tal Celes.

I would love to have seen both of these characters more. Of course, Suzie Plakson had a more indelible role as K'Ehleyr, the mother of Worf's son Alexander. Tal Celes did have a brief second appearance in "The Haunting of Deck 12." (It's neat the actress Zoe McClellan now appears on NCIS New Orleans with "Capt. Archer," Scott Bakula).

Was it Ayala who was in virtually every episode of Voyager, and had no lines in seven years?

Or Mr Rollins, featured prominently in the pilot, but never seen again. At least they didn't just ignore him for six years and then randomly murder him in the seventh season I guess.

All those Equinox guys too. Mind you, that would have just been a retread of the Maquis thing which the writers couldn't be bothered with either.

I agree with all of these. And we never heard of what happened to the Borg baby after the Doc said she was doing better in after he treated her in Sickbay! If they had to get rid of the Borg kids (losing Mezoti was the one that bothered me), why didn't they at least have the baby wrapped up and handed over to the Wysanti? How hard would that have been?

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned that Sarjenka from Pen Pals, regained her memories in one of the novels. Which one was this?

^^IIRC it was mentioned as backstory in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers series, where she had actually joined Starfleet and was a recurring character in the series.

How? Her people seemed...incapable of warp drive as they weren't supposed to make contact..

Ro Laren.

I would have loved to have seen her character be helped by Picard and the TNG regulars, to see her deal with her own past and who she wants to be.

I know there was talk of her being on DS9 [I'm glad she wasn't, Visitor is one of my favourite Trek performances] but even with her going off to join the Maquis...I would have liked to have known more about her. Although, as I say, I'd have rathered they just kept her on the Enterprise and let her grow and evolve in the background as that environment brought the best out in her.

This is really random, but I always hoped that those people in Voyager on the planet with the fast moving time would reappear in a later season. I figured with how quickly time was moving in a year for Voyager they could have far surpassed Voyagers technology and Voyager would have only been a myth to them at that point. It could have been like the motion picture movie plot but backwards if you know what I'm saying :-)

Also, Thomas Riker. They should have followed up somehow at least in DS9. He would have been better in that finale set free from a labor camp or used by the founders somehow than in Enterprise.

TOS: Chang, Romulan Commander (Mark Lenard), Gorkon, Willard Decker, Jose Mendez, Helen Noel, Saavik (Kirstie Alley), Clark Terrell

TNG: Chekote (Admiral), Donatra, K'Ehleyr, Edward Jelico, Thomas Riker

DS9: Erika Benteen, Lisa Neeley, Koval, T'Rul

VOY: None

ENT: None

I did a quick math. about 86 thousand years would have passed on the planet by the middle of 7th season. Those aliens would have been more advanced than anyone they encountered except perhaps the Voth.

If I'm right, 1.4 million years has passed on that planet since the episode first aired.

I always wanted more of a follow up on this too.

And I know there are lots of novels, but I really would have liked to see have seen Riker in command of the Titan. It's too bad Nemesis was such a dud. It would have been cool to see Picard and Riker both in action like Sulu and Kirk in TUC.
