Spoilers Una's fate after Season 1

Unimatrix Q

Commodore
Commodore
Think it's very likely (and what i hope) that Una gets pardoned after her trial and stays on the Enterprise as Pike's Number One.

After her service on the 1701, i would have her founding together with some other likeminded Illyrians and Humans the New Human Movement, finally making this concept from TMP canon and retconning it to a group fighting for the rights of genetically engineered people and advancing transhumanism on Earth.

What would you like to see happen with Una in Season 2 and after?

Running off with Pike while M'Benga prepares Pike's transporter duplicate.

On a slightly more serious note, as I understand it Una's Illyrian genetic modifications allow her to withstand massive amounts of radiation including delta radiation right? The same delta radiation that Pike foresees he'll be hit with. I can't help thinking there will be some kind of deal made between Illyrian genetic engineers and Pike somehow with this all in the balance.

Think Una's New Human Movement could have gotten some spotlight in the news during the time of TMP but faded into the obscure during the 24th century but was responsible for some cultural feats on Earth and for 24th century humanity seen in TNG, before the first contact with the Dominion and eventually the war regressed things again. This may also explain Darwin station in "Unnatural Selection".

Maybe during the 25th century things get better for the movement again.

I would like to see Samuel T. Cogley win his first case - getting Una reinstated and exposing the evil depth of discrimination in Star Fleet.
He can't win that decisively, as the ban still needs to be in place by the 2370s.

Get her reinstated under certain conditions or something.

Huh? The idea here is to get rid of Pike's former crew to make way for the TOS crew. You don't do that by bringing Number One back. She's on the same train Hemmer took.

I assumed Number One from The Cage eventually just moved on to another ship, after getting frustrated by Pike keeping her out of the action and being so cold/stern to her.
"What are we running here, a Cadet ship Number One... are we ready or not?"

You can see her disappointment when Pike keeps her on the ship during the first away mission, almost as if it was a recurring thing. She just sighs and says "of course..sir."

SNW is several years after The Cage. Number one in SNW is the same character.

I don't see the show lasting for six years.
With Discovery's cancellation and the limits on streaming shows now, I think you're right. So assuming we're lucky enough to get it to 5 years, we get 2259, 2260, 2261, 2262, and 2263 (conveniently when the 18 year endurance rating since 2245 per on-screen canon ends). That's still 2 years off from the launch of Kirk's 5 year mission unless there's a time jump, and honestly they might just be better off ending at 2263, Pike overseeing a new refit to extend the endurance rating, and leave the bizarre change from SNW to TOS interior design to fans' imaginations and head canons.

2263 is also the year in the kelvin timeline Beyond takes place

If they do get into the trans human thing there will be little drama in just dropping an episode that "It's all right now." NO. There must be drama. Perhaps the Illyrians paid a karmic price for their manipulation.

You mean like dying as a direct result of their trying to fit into the Federation's extremely narrow-minded and intolerant dogma? That kind of karmic price? And who, exactly, deserves to pay a karmic price: the people who prefer to change themselves in order to live in harmony with their environments, or the people who put you in jail because you have Evil Genetics?

It's unlikely to happen, but I wish they would tie Terra Prime from ENT back into the show. I think the backwards ass view lines up well with Terra Prime's politics.
