I never get tired of good movies and as with every genre you get the good alongside the bad.

I could do without X3 or Spiderman 3 but for everz of those movies we get an Iron Man or X2. However i've noticed that Marvel is beginning to slip in quality.. Wolverine was a weak movie, Punisher was just gory and not much else and the less said about X3 the better. There was a time when Marvel movies were solid gold

I'll watch any genre (except horror movies.. don't like those in general) if the story is good or if it has otherwise good qualities. It is why i simply like Armageddon.. i know that the story is shit but the humor is great and it's epic enough. The same applies to Transformers and i hope Transformers 2 entertains me as much.

What movie genre do you think they need to give a rest to? Fantasy movies (LOTR/POTTER/NARNIA)..HERO movies (BATMAN-IRONMAN-HULK) scifi space movies (TREK--STAR WARS) or fantastic action flicks based on toys (TRANSFORMERS..GI JOE)

Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. They don't make that much money, especially now; it's just that they cost nothing to make.

I don't know if there's a genre that needs to take a rest(although the proliferation of cop shows on TV, as well as the ludicrous number of 'reality' shows, is really burning me out.)
I do think that Hollywood should take a look at all of the original works out there and stop re-hashing Baby Boomer TV shows into movies. There are plenty of talented writers presenting scripts worth considering, why go back to a well that never offered much anyway? Otherwise, how long until a 're-imagined' Gilligan's Island hits the big screen?
