Ultimately Human Gallery for September 2009!

Hey all!

This isn't exactly a new feature, but you might not have heard of it before if you where not paying attention. ;)

For the past year, I've been doing another monthly special image gallery mid-month as a sort of methadone for all you rare photo junkies. It's a little smaller (only half the size) of rare photos, but the material is surprisingly harder to come by... (who'd have thunk it?)

This one though, focuses on the human aspect of the actors we all know and love from Star Trek. Whether regulars, recurring, or even just notable one-time guest stars. Like with my rare photos, I've got my standards for it - nothing (obviously) red carpet or convention and everything of decent size.

Previously, I just snuck it's debut into the tail-end of the months rare photos thread, but thanks to Misfit Toy and Alidar Jarok, I'm now able to give it a bit more of an attention-garnering... attention... garner-ish-like-...thing... :p

My favorites:

First row, right: my first attempt to indulge the request for more... "beef-cake"... :rolleyes:/:p - Brian Thompson, who has played a number of different roles across modern Trek, from the klingon Klaag, to a Jem'Hadar soldier, to the Romulan Admiral in Enterprise.

Third row, right: I just about wet myself when I came across this pic of DeForest Kelley and Robert Picardo together. That doesn't quite sound right on second read-through, but oh well. :p

Fifth row, right: Really smart, "artsy" pic of Scott Bakula.

"Captain Kirk is climbing the mountain," he rhetorically started, "...WHY is he climbing the mountain?"

I'm well aware of Louise Fletcher's body of work, but this warm and beautiful photo is the exact opposite of the character of Kai Winn. Incidentally, this photo is full of win (yeah, I went there, so what, HUH?!)

And as always, thanks Frontier!

Misfit is a moderator, Pipo, and guess what? You don't have more pull than the mod. He can choose what you're allowed to post and what you're not allowed to post, actually.

i wasnt talking 2 u, and u will all burn in hell for talking to me like that. Jesus came to me in a dream a few years back and told me i was 2b the new prophet. so ur the 1s in trouble, gays.

That picture of Picardo and De is very good. I also have a feeling someone won't be around the BBs much longer.

I love that pic of the two docs - really, really cool. The ones of Dawson and Forbes are really neat, also. I've seen lots of nice pix of Louise Fletcher and I clearly remember her pre-Winn, so that one wasn't a surprise, but it is lovely.

I like the bushy-haired pic of Shatner in the bottom row. Looks like it dates from around the time of TMP, judging by how thin he looks...

That photo of Scott Bakula is fantastic. Where was that pathos (not Porthos) when we needed it, Scott?

Nah, I'm kidding, I never blamed him.

Rachel Nichols: wowie-wow-wow. She looks a lot better as a pinkskin.

For that matter, Anton Yelchin looks a lot better with that haircut than he did in the movie.

Colm Meaney looks neat, like either Irish Max Headroom or a Bond villain's minion.

Roxanna Dawson is, as usual, very hot, when she's not in her lobster-head mask.
