Ultimate Computer (remastered) screencap request

darkwing_duck1

Vice Admiral
I don't have any access to any version of remastered eps for capping purposes, and I was hoping someone might help me out:

The "official" s-caps at trekmovie left out one key sequence: where M-5 delivers the killing blow to Excalibur at point blank range and casually rolls Enterprise out of the way. Then we see Excalibur falling away on the viewscreen.

I was hoping to get caps of three key moments there: 1. the killing blow itself, with both ships and the phaser fire at closest approach 2. Enterprise (on her side) overshooting the now dead Excalibur, and 3. The Excalibur falling away on the viewscreen at the BEGINNING of that sequence, when you can get a fairly good look at the damage.

Anyone who might be able to help would have my thanks!

I don't recall any shot of the Excalibur showing any damage what so ever. They are all long shots and appear to be fairly damage free.

Probably a syndication edit. We won't see it until the HD-DVD set is released.

That's a possibility, but the FX I was looking for were in the fx reel on Trekmovie.com, and with Startrek.com down, I just assumed it was compiled from the aired ep instead of the "full length ep"...maybe I am incorrect.

Agreed. The new CGI should have shown the Enterprise firing at fairly close range and leaving black singed marks on the Excalibur's hull. Explosions. Ruptured hull plating. Something. The action took place at too great a visual range to be that effective.

Not HD quality but here are the caps from the points you listed... Was going to edit out the logo on the others but it would have taken more time and I had to leave for work.

Not a problem, Skippy! Many thanks for the help! :D

Has anyone gotten a good enough look to see if they followed "tradition" and used the "Constellation" mesh for the Excalibur?

^ If they did it isn't in the state it was seen in "Doomsday Machine". You can see that at least for the most part the nacelles are in tact, the Constellation was missing the back part of the starboard nacelle.

There should have been at least ONE brief close-up of the Excalibur tumbling end over end with gaping holes and wounds in her hull. Escaping internal atmosphere. Something. Hell, even Kang's D7 cruiser in "Day of the Dove" was shown having a few outward hull explosions in its engineering section!
