I had a revelation.

What if it's not about the space-probes of an agency controlled by the United Earth Government, but the Probes of an Agency working for the collection of planets called "United Earth Space" even if that's just the planets in this solar sytem?

In one of the early movies kirk was wearing a jacket which had the solar system legended onto a patch on his shoulder, which would be like a series of Planets in Earth-Space... Which is how Larry Niven refers to "our" Empire in some of his novels.

This completely changes everything if it's close to the truth? Not that there is some clearly defined truth in this matter...

At the outset, I too would have to say No but. . .show me what you have in mind for this concept. I am willing to listen.
