U2 announced they are touring this summer, and in honor of the 30th Anniversary (!!) of The Joshua Tree, they will be playing the album in its entirety.

My wife and I have seen them many times, including skipping our own engagement party to see the ZooTV Tour.

I can't wait for this, as I was in Australia when this album came out, and I did not see the tour.

Who's going?!?!

Awesome!

Not me, it's too expensive :(. A lot of concerts just cost too much these days and the so called 'affordable' seats are generally nosebleed ones.

But for those who are able to go, have fun! :)

And happy 30th anniversary to U2 on that album. It's a classic.

Yeah this is a stadium tour, so I'm sure there'll be affordable seats, but at a distance you might need binoculars.

I wish they'd stick to arenas. Their last tour was unbelievably awesome.

The Joshua Tree was what got me into U2 and I've been a fan ever since. Went to the Zoo TV and Pop Mart tours when they came to my town and had a blast both times, but my stadium & arena concert-going days ended shortly after that. Still, it's good to hear they're still going to be rocking this year. And The Joshua Tree was such a great album.

I missed the original tour because my parents wouldn't let me go to Phoenix with a bunch of my friends.. I think tickets were $30.. Sigh... Thems were the days.. I might just have to see about this...

It's insane what they charge these days.. i remember ages ago when the show Ally McBeal was a hit and the title music was done by Vonda Shepard (to me a second or third row artist but still a good voice).. they wanted 60 Euro's for her show :wtf:

I shudder to think what top talent like Adele and such cost these days and still you have to be fast to get tickets at any price.

U2 is an awesome band and Joshua Tree one of their best albums.. awesome idea to make an anniversary tour but to get decent trickets i'd probably have to be home and refresh every second for their only concert in Germany (reminds me of a scene from Big Bang Theory where the guys tried to get tickets to Comic Con ).

$30 will get you 3 beers at most arenas now.

As a member of the fan club I get access to presales tomorrow.

We will see how that goes. I haven't had much luck in the past.

First time I saw U2 was in 1983. The War Tour. I was blown away, and have seen them every time I could after that.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Just saw the dates.. Surprised at no Denver or Phoenix dates... Could have possibly done one of those.. Ah well..

I was a BIG U2 fan back in the day, but my interest waned after Actung Baby.. It was an ok album, but I didn't see what the big deal was.. After that, it was years until I liked their newer music.. Once they returned more to their roots... Nothing tops War and Boy for me..

And yes.. $30 will get you three "small" beers at an arenas these days. LOL...

I was a little kid when the album came out. I generally don't like anything from the 1980s, but I really like "The Joshua Tree." I might just have to get a ticket to this.
