Here's a few examples of how the hulls can be combined.
I feel that having images get progressively smaller, greatly diminishes impact and clarity. It's now at 7% of the real size that I work at.
In my opinion, a society that is adept at space travel, shouldn't look at space as simply a distance to traverse. There should be long-term communities that adapt and grow.
Large ships rarely ever dock together. How a docking port withstands imparted stresses, is beyond me. Even when they're just meters apart, we see that personnel resort to using transporters or shuttles. Forget about chaining dozens of ships together.
The new docking systems are supposed to represent a radical shift in thinking. Resource allocation becomes much easier. And even transport between multiple ships might be safer with a "wired" connection.
It looks like Jupiter Station was put together from old saucers. And fans have speculated that saucer separation is a way to transport station segments. So while there is a standard kit of parts, the internal uses can be greatly different from one hull to the next.

Today is Tau Day. And what a concept it is! The unit greatly simplifies pi.
In honor of the concept, I think my ship should more appropriately be called the U.S.S. Tau. And for now, it is the first of the Tau-Class.
The name fits so well. The ship is composed of arcs of a circle. And they can be rearranged into a sine wave.
As for how I feel about the design; I've drawn just enough to get the idea across. Not every function or view has been drawn yet. But I'm happy that the modular segments actually fit.
Nothing has to be set in stone. The ship is still very much a first draft. So if someone wants to select a different color scheme, or change the lines, I'd love to see your interpretation.
I'm thinking it would be neat to see half of a spinning dorje in a bussard dome, and the other half spinning counter in a frosted clear dome on the rear of the nacelle.
