U.S.S. TITAN -- THE WINNER!

Good job, but there's one detail that keeps bothering me -- how are those shuttlebay doors supposed to open? It just looks like a solid dome with a few vertical grooves in it -- not something that could actually open up and fold back. Wouldn't it need at least one central groove that ran all the way from top to bottom? Or am I missing something?

Looking good again. Its nice to see some more updates on the CGI version. Can't wait to see what she looks like painted.

Do you have any idea when we will get to see a final painted version of her?

^ They're like like normal polysterene kits, but the parts are cast instead of moulded, with the expectation that they won't sell enough products to justify the expense of moulding machines. Resin breaks easier, and you might need different sorts of paint or glues than you would the usual plastics, although they're often more detailed, because the casts can be hand-made, whereas with moulding machines you sometimes lose the detail to the need for ease of manufacture.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Woah sweet, I've never gotten a model ship before, but I just might have to get this one.

When was this announced? Now I have to get it once it comes out and another one to make as the Luna. Damn, sounds good. All I need know is the Big E to go along with it.

I decided to start designing some of the Titan's Shuttles.
This project is by no means official, unless Marco asks me
to actually design them.

But none the less here is my first sketch of shuttle craft Armstrong
(Not that Armstrong) this one is named after the Jazz performer.
See Titan book one I believe they named this shuttle in that book.

Remember these are just for fun.

I know it's pretty much unprecedented in Trek, but just once I'd like to see a shuttlecraft with the following:

1) Seat harnesses. The things crash every other week, so you'd think they'd have some kind of passenger restraint system.
2) An airlock. What the heck kind of spaceship doesn't have an airlock? (Although ENT shuttlepods did have them.)
3) A bathroom. On all these long-range shuttle missions I have to wonder how the heck they're dealing with that.
