U.S.S. TITAN -- THE WINNER!

Here is the latest schematics for the U.S.S. Titan that I have been working with Marcho over at Pocket Books. I will post a bigger version when the book is published.

You will notice that the captain's skiff is now there, and we changed the nacells a little to add
a little more detail to them. You will see this in the final 3D version. Also I fixed the missing lifepods in the aft view.

enjoy.

It's nice - even though the design has been around long before Orions Hounds came out, I still can't help picture the ship how I'd been seeing it before we had Seans design.

I hope that will be remedied when we get to see the ship in action on the cover of the fourth book - maybe it's just the schematics that don't sit well with me, maybe when I see it in 3D so to speak, it'll sit better.

I have a hard time visualizing the ship from the views we've seen so far. When I see it at a diagonal or some other common angle used on the TV shows, maybe that will help.

Wow, I can't wait to see the 3D version of Titan on the book 4 cover.

Well, after seeing the runners up, I feel its safe to say the right man won.

If those four entries (counting the winner) were actually representative of the entry designs, pocketbooks (or whomever is making these books now) picked the only choice really available to it.

If another movie is made, does anyone think paramount will actually use this fan made inspired design of the Titan ?

REally nice design. I didn't like it at first, but its really grown on me. The thing I love about Titan is that it is just another ship in a class, not the first in a new class. If it were up to Berman, I would assume the latter would happen.

How do you figure? Voyager was created on his watch, and it wasn't the first of a class.

neither was the E-D. or even the 1701. the only ships which were the first of their class were the NX-01 and the defiant...

Personally I hope that the powers that be
would use my design as a basis atleast if
they were to make a Titan movie. It would
be a great honor to see a ship based on my
design on the big screen. :)

^ Yeah, well, let me be the first to shatter that dream for you.

Welcome to the world of media tie-ins :D

I'm not stupid enough to think it will happen. So no dream shattered here.
