U.S.S. TITAN -- THE WINNER!

Ooooh - can someone PM me with what the 'modifications' the Ent-E bridge are in DIW as the book itself doesn't appeal ?

And I'm glad I'm not alone in being eager for some sort of bridge diagram - to see how radically it differs from the mental image I've been assembling of it, given how radically different the Titan ended up being from how I'd envisaged it throughout Books 1 and 2.

Here is the latest Titan Update and a message from Ellery on what he has done.

"OK, I've been a bit busy here but still have a few updates. I flattened the base for the front escape pods (left the ones in back since they overlap some hull plating and caused some problems. Also added the docking bulkhead on the sides of the saucer and fixed a lot of problems Next, I'll add windows and then move on to the bridge."

Here is the latest Titan WIP shots and Ellery's comments:

"...Ok, after a long hiatus... I'm back on this. Air lock, Nav Lights and RCS packs are in place. I just need to cut the windows and then I'll get back to the bridge."

Here is the latest from Ellery.

"OK, slowly coming together... mesh-wise, there is not all that much left (the main thing left is the bridge).
Then I will start re-texturing her from the groung up.

Enjoy!

edit to change picture into link to avoid page stretch. -- Rosalind

::whistles:: Ooooo... nice, very nice. Gorgeous. :)

ps. Sean, could you change the pic into a link please, most people on this board is still using <1280 screen width. Thanks.

1600x1200 here so no real problem. Just a small amount of left/right scrolling when I maximize Firefox 2.0.... Ooh! Firefox 2.0 has a spell checker now. Nice!

Wow, this ship just keeps looking better and better. When all of these different bits and pieces are done are we gonna get to see the whole ship with color?

I'm not sure what size my screen is, but it did require allitle bit of scrolling.

This isn't really a new mesh update, but since I had a request from a model maker on starship builder ask for these shots I figured I would post them here as well.

*Note these shot where taken from a older version of MJ's meshes so there are some bugs.

The model maker wanted closer looks at the nacells and the deflector area of the Titan so this is what we gave him.

What are those boxy double-barrelled things on the underside of the secondary hull, one pointing forward and one back?

While I still find the sensor pod somewhat awkward, it does look much better when viewed next to the angular nacelles. In fact, those top-shots of the ridges on the saucer have a vaguely insect-like, pincer-ish feel to them; the angles are more agressive, perhaps, than a vessel primarily designed for exploration should be, but the aesthetic effect conveys a pleasant, dynamic feel.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman
