U.S.S. Kelvin hallmark ornament?

I read this article last night: http://www.startrek.com/article/hallmarks-2012-2013-trek-ornaments

I've actually hoped hoped for a U.S.S. Kelvin ornament, or a playmates ship, but assumed they would never be made. Now that it appears I was wrong, I'm wondering if the Kelvin comes out this year or next, I'm assuming 2013, because Hallmark.com only has the enterprise-D up. Anyone else interested in this?, from the one pic I saw it looks extremely well done.

Yea, the Kelvin will be avaialble in 2013. The Ent-D is available this year (pretty soon, actually). The character ornaments, in my opinion, looks terrible. Incorrect proportions, cartoonish faces ... yuck. I'll get the starships, but that's it...

The USS Kelvin is a prototype that is being previewed at Comic-Con this year. The ornament should be available in Hallmark Gold Crown stores in mid July, 2013.

The Enterprise D is actually already out, my wife and I picked it up this past weekend.

I realize these are "collectibles", but why do they release them so infrequently? Why not two or three a year?

The new movie is out in 2013, most people will be after any new ships from that movie.

None of those figures (with the exception of nuSpock & the Gorn) look anything remotely like the actors who played them.

I agree about the figures. One wonders why they couldn't have done better with all the great artists out there.
