The Transtator is incorporated into the computer system, vastly expanding the computer memory, see entry for 2147, on the medical Tricorder.

The four glowing red hot objects at the stern of the warp nacelles are the matter/antimatter reactors. A brute force approach. Each generates warp factor one power, spreading out the total risk, and allowing a reduction in power levels per reactor, such that their individual operational life time is increased. Less maintenance...

Also the Mann class didn't use Dilithium initially.

Plus the Lasers are arranged in 'banks' not single mounts.
