U.S. Navy to Fund Dr. Bussard in Fusion Research?

Awesome news, once we master Fusion we will truly begin the 21st century and usher in a new wave of technology like nothing we've seen before.

While I am excited about the prospects I do have to ask something. If he gets funding from several places, does that make Dr Bussard Collector?

OMG, I just realised the connection to!

That is interesting

Good news. WB-7 has a very good chance of working and definitely should be funded. If it does work, it may lead to something like impulse engines, as well.

Wiki Article
Bussard notes that, "Thus, we have the ability to do away with oil (and other fossil fuels) but it will take 4-6 years and ca. 100-200 M$ to build the full-scale plant and demonstrate it. Anyone care?

We could have had over 200 full-scale plants using the $$ that we've dumped into Iraq... and presumably less deaths.

Have you seen that should google go nuclear avi presentation by Dr Bussard.

It was amazing.I downloaded and saw it 5 times.

It all becomes so clear why this could work...at a cost of $200 million.

Download it now and watch it.
It's an hour long

Compared to other military projects this is pocket change.

Hot tokamak fusion is a dead end. It's like balancing a pencil on it's point.
