Type 6 Shuttlecraft Studio Model Replica

Hey all,

as announced in my previous post...
https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/type-5-galileo-shuttlecraft-studio-model-replica.312272/
...I’d like to share another result of my home office projects: a large scale Type 6 Shuttlecraft in a repaint version introduced during Voyager.

This time, it is actually a modified and repainted Playmates Star Trek Shuttlecraft Goddard from 1992 which is an excellent basis (looks very right) I wished I had used before for my Type 5 Shuttle. It is also a little bit bigger in scale and around 28cm long.

Again, fully lighted with engine glow (shines blue through in darkness) position light sequence as seen on screen (even the timing :D) and connectors for rigging on top, bottom and the back.

Cheers!

Very nice as well! Surprised to see the Voyager style decals, we almost never saw those on the Type-6, I quite like how it looks.

The curvature of the front end stands out to me, but that's down to the Playmates shuttle, if anything the CD holder is much more accurate in that regard.

Hi again Rekkert!

yes - I thought the Voyager repaint looks a little bit more interesting. Also I was thinking about a Type 6 Shuttle from a Galaxy Class that was still in service during the time period of early Voyager.

The curvature of the front end stands out to me, but that's down to the Playmates shuttle, if anything the CD holder is much more accurate in that regard.

Overall the shape of the Playmates Shuttle seems better to my eyes but you are of course right about the nose section. I thought about to correct that but then realized I am too lazy and approved it as "good enough" ;)
