A remake of the 1996 game.

They're remaking it again.

I'm guessing this is going to be a bog standard "we're to lazy to make something new so we redid this old game the modern gaming audience thinks is old and icky to look at with new fancy dancy graphics and microtransactions to harpoon whales" cash grab.

At least Tomb Raider: Anniversary (the 2007 remake of the first game) had a narrative reason for it being made. It was part of the running story line at that time with it and Tomb Raider: Legend being setups for Tomb Raider: Underworld.
