Two Enterprise physical models

So I went and splurged for myself, I bought two physical enterprise models. I haven't done physical modeling in many years, but I want to get back into it, I've missed it. I'm going to do the 1701-C first as it's at a level I'm comfortable with. I hope to show them off in the coming months! Wish me luck!

Good luck indeed and show your progress while you build it, also with really good model builders/kitbashers here you can get a ton of advice.

So a while back I was testing out my wood burning kit, and I made a test burn, well that block of wood found new life, since the kit didn't come with a base I harvested one of the scrap pieces from the kit and I'm using that as the pole for the base, this is just a mock up of things to come

I know opinions vary, but I think the Ambassador class is one of Trek's finest designs! I know jackshit about physical modeling but I will keep an eye out for this topic, because pretty ship!

Nice start. I'm actually building one in blender myself. So if you need references of the studio model for paint help or something let me know.

Fun fact, that model you have may Say Enterprise-C but it's rear shuttlbay is actually the Yamaguchi's. :) The two studio models had a few differences that no one really ever picked up on, heh.

Wider shuttlebay.
Ex Astris Scientia had a page on that, and a new page on “obscure yet interesting starships”

I've built it in sketchup, still working hard on that model, but I wanted to get back into it, and as far as paints go since it's a snap model all of the blue accents are in decal form, so pretty much, base coat, lights, and windows, impulse and buzzards are all that need painting
