Spoilers Two big characters return for anniversary.

Oh, here is a thought…
What if at the end of the three Specials, the Doctor has to speedrun all his subsequent regens again, quickly burning through Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi and then Jodie Whittaker again before finally getting to Ncuti Gatwa.
That way Jodie would still regenerate into Ncuti maintaining the proper oder.
Meanwhile the midway mind palace scene would feature all of them.
Modern Doctors were suspiciously absent from Power of the Doctor.

Pretty sure Tennant will just regenerate into Ncuti. Can't see Smith, Capaldi or Whittaker popping back for a two second cameo, unless they use archive footage.

And frankly I don't want a few seconds of Matt or Peter, I'd like 'em to have an episode at least (which I know we won't get) so we'll just have to make do with golden boy :p

I wonder if 15 will meet maybe 11 and/or 12 when he tries to work out why he hasn't come into existence.

With both of the next Doctors' televised tenures confirmed to begin next year, and with the 60th Special itself having already been confirmed to mark the official start of the RTD2 Era, I see two options:
1) we get the 60th Special on 11/19, the other Tennant Doctor 2.0 Specials on 11/26 and 12/3, and then go straight into Ncuti's first episode and Series starting on 12/9.

2) we get the 60th Special on 11/12, the other Tennant Doctor 2.0 episodes on 11/19 and 11/26, get a small break, and then get Ncuti's first episode and Series starting in late December (possibly on Christmas Eve).

Capaldi has often spoken out against multi-Doctor specials, feeling they cheapen things for the incumbent Doctor. But given the past year, I don't think we can really rule out anyone potentially returning. Even dead actors can be deepfaked now, though admittedly, that's probably a bit too pricey for BBC at the moment.

I like the slight Troughton pattern through them. :-)

Although that tardis looks like it needs a visit to Castrovalva to fix its wonky looking dimensions. Lol

Matt has never shown any interest in returning. If people want to convince themsrkves otherwise they can enjoy their disapointment.
