Two And A Half Men (CBS) Ashton Kutcher!!!

Funny ep. Jane Lynch was back as the psychiatrist...not as funny with Walden as when she is interacting with Charlie...but still funny. Walden behaving like a child could get old real quick. This wasn't a bad ep by 2.5 Men standards.

I found 2.5 via re-runs after the news a couple of years ago. Had never watched it in first run. But so far, I haven't missed an episode yet this season. It has had it's ups and downs, but I honestly think that it is starting to come into its own.

I tried watching an episode the other day...I have no idea which one it was but Alan was leaving the house to Walden and forgot about Jake. I didn't watch the rest of the episode. All I could think was how the hell did Alan not get Charlie's house? I'm sure this was explained, I just didn't bother to watch to hear or see what the explanation was. Before the season started I thought it would be funny if Alan still didn't get the house but now that they actually did that it didn't make much sense. Oh well. I didn't find Ashton Kutcher funny or interesting and I happen to like him.

^ Alan did get the house but couldn't pay the mortgage, so he had to sell it and Walden bought it. Why is Alan still there? He endeared himself to Walden and when Walden owed him a favor, he asked if he could stay for a few days because he didn't want to stay with his mother. He had no intention of leaving of course. Eventually, Walden said he could stay as long as he wanted.

I've only seen the show sporadically over the years but I watched the first Ashton show out of curiosity and have stuck with it since. I like my comedies with an absurdist bent and they seem to have tweaked the show to be a little more left-of-center which I like.

Last night was a funny ep...don't know if it is the funniest so far but it was great.

Funny ep last night. The end with Alan with the "winning" comment was great.

Jake and Alan's interaction about "Dr. ASAP" had me rolling too.

That was the best episode of the season so far, IMO.

I literally spewed whatever I was drinking when he said that. Best line of the season so far. :techman: :guffaw:

Oh absolutely the best line of the season. :guffaw: And after he said it, I was thinking"Wow, they aren't taking their foot off of Charlie's (Sheen) throat anytime soon are they?"

But is it a bad sign that the funniest episode of the season was pretty "Charlie-centric" in a manner of speaking?

The bad sign is rather that the much touted and advertised Ashton Kutcher is a big dud.. i've rarely laughed or even cracked a smile because of his character (nothing against Kutcher.. an actor can only work with what he's given) but luckily it's now Jon Cryer's turn to carry that show and he does that brilliantly and even more so in the current episode.. i laughed so much during the episode i realized the show didn't really need another big star to anchor it.

Ashton seemed a little shaky at the start, but the manchild weirdness of Walden is growing on me, particularly when he gets to play off of Alan and Berta.
