Here are some tweets from twitter users regarding Star Trek. These are in the last 10 minutes. There are more but I am posting the most relevant ones.

utterlicious: star trek was awesome! go watch it people! live long & prosper!

nigelkong: How do I put this into words? STAR TREK was UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING. There, I tried. In caps and all-that still doesn't do it justice

tblonsky: I'm getting excited abt the new star trek movie coming out on friday. It looks really good thus far

karinagrotz: Star Trek screening last night was AMAZING... visually spectacular, great story, great ride... kinda makes you wish you were an astronaut!

jamiepogue: For the first time in a long time, maybe ever, Star Trek is officially cooler than Star Wars.

robertliefeld: I have no doubt that Star Trek will be one of the best, smartest, most entertaining movies I'll see this year.

gautampoddar: Star Trek is this year's Dark Knight..... don't miss it!

juznuts: Just watched Star Trek at the gala. I'm not familiar with the #startrek characters, but boy was it a good show

nigelkong: @JJ_Abrams Just saw Star Trek. You sir, are God
Keep an eye on twitter, so much love for Trek on there from random people.

Ok...I'm most interested in hearing what people who never have seen the original or don't know much about Trek in general have to say.....

why? I thought you didn't care for the fact that this movie is (at least partly) aimed toward those people? so why do you care what they think?

it's everywhere in your posts...

Well furnish me one then....I've said a lot of shit on this board but I don't remember saying anything about "caring" about this movie being aimed at non-trekkers....

Lord knows I've said PLENTY about the originals vs. the newbies in the casting..........maybe you're getting mixed up.

what? what? we had a conversation on twitter?!

I'd like to smoke what you're smokin' girl.

anyway this follows what i saw on nights after the sneak previews across the country.
twitter posts all over the place about how much people enjoyed it.
being sneak peaks i suspect you got a cross section of people not just fans.
a lot of people enter to get tickets for almost every movie.. because it is a free movie.
while i suspect a good number of fans were in there too.
