Twilight- poor man's Buffy?

^ No, I think 3DMs dream is to be like Jasmine and we all just bow down and worship his amazingness brilliance

btw, on the subject of Buffy I really like my new av. Thought I'd play around with the contrast a bit too.
Looks great.
Looks like it's from "The Gift" just before Buffy takes her long walk of a short pier (sorta speak)?

Also right now I'm listening to some THC, who played Veruca the she-wolf's band Shy in early Season 4
This song they play in The Bronze in "Wild At Heart" is awesome (takes a couple of minutes to build up and get going)
Thanks for the link. I've always wanted to hear the whole song. It's great. One thing I've wondered though, is the actress the singer of the band, or does she just lip sink?

Also I see the score CD is finally getting a UK release on 26th January, and after listening to a few tracks on Youtube also, I'll definitely be getting that ASAP
Actually, I was kind of disappointed with it. A lot of the best stuff was omitted and it's all Beck. Duncan and Romayne did have some really good stuff of their own.

Someone said Buffy was a strong female role model, and of course that means we have to go over everything wrong with the show.

No, that would be the other way around. Somebody wasn't to enamored of Buffy, and immediately all kinds of the Buffy-lovers jumped down his throat at how wrong he was and how awesome Buffy is - both show and character. I just pointed out a few problems with that unbiased view of "the awesomeness that is Buffy".

As for Twilight, I thought the movie made very little sense. The book made some, but only when you realise it's for teenage audiences. The movie removed a lot though, which I thought made it make a lot less sense... or maybe that was just because I was trying to think of it from the point of view of someone who never read the book.
The film probably did have bigger gaps in it, but having read the book, I probably just used that to gloss over said gaps in my mind. Most of it seemed pretty self-explanatory, at least within its own self-contained world, but I could see it causing problems for people who hadn't read it beforehand. The last three Harry Potter films have been kind of like that as well, what with all the material (some of it extraneous, some not) they've had to cut to get them under a 150 minute running time.

That's maybe it, I was trying to come at it from the view of someone who hadn't read the books. I was there with two friends and trying to think what'd be like for them.
I thought things just happened without real explanation, where as in the book you got the thoughts of Bella (as childish/selfish/senseless they may have been). I also thought it was a bit stupid to kill the tension by showing the other vamps killing people so early on, instead of letting us think it could be the Cullens.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing it, but I don't really pay for the cinema or the DVD. Probably wait a couple of years till its on TV :D

Yes it was just an actress (Paige Moss) who's nothing to do with the band in real life (kinda like with Oz's band Dingoes Ate My Baby)

And yep the av is from the end of "The Gift"
