Am I the only one suffering from withdrawal? And apparently facebook (which I don't have) is falling over from the extra traffic generated while Twitter is off-line.

Personally, I think the people behind DOS attacks are the twits. Or I could think of worse things to call them, as David Cameron did.

So... here's a thread to rant about people who commit senseless acts of violence and destruction: DOS attacks, viruses, smashing up phone boxes...

The cable news networks. I was watching CNBC, Fox and Fox Business this morning and each one couldn't help but cover this story even there's practically nothing to say outside of "twitter is down."

It's a blogging site, only you write really short (140 characters or less) blogs. People follow each other's Twitter blogs to keep up.

That's pretty much it. I don't use Twitter for three reasons:

1: I don't give a shit what anyone else is doing right now.
2: No one gives a shit what I'm doing right now.
3: Even if people did give a shit what I'm doing right now, I don't give enough of a shit about what I'm doing to type a sentence or two about it.

So, in short: Shit.

I have tweetdeck, but tend to use the twitter gadget on my sidebar, and refresh the webpage. The api services were the last to come back. The search function and trending topics are still very iffy.
