Spoilers TVLine.com's blind item is likely DSC

But every actor who would need 20 years of aging since Nemesis has already aged almost the same amount! That doesn't make much sense.

Except in the 24th century 80 is the new 40 which means they might need to de-age pat stew. It work well for him in X-men: the last stand

I would guess Westworld. That series does time jumping in just about every episode, so this would be no big deal.

I found that Kurtzman sentence weird. Why would this season be the only season to tell the Spock story?

Well, I wouldn't be surprised Kurtzman said it because this season is literally the last chance we could see a young Spock from before TOS cos at the end of the season we're jumping to the future and stay there...

How would this work with L'Rell and the other main characters not on Discovery?

Hell, how would it work with Pike?

That's easy, leave L'Rell and Voq behind. If you want them back in the future, they're just L'Rell and/or Voq aged 20 years.

And depending on what plans they have, it could be better for Pike. Give him a season to grow his popularity, then ship him back to Enterprise right before Discovery jumps and send him off to his own spin-off. His show takes over the pre-TOS prequel show spot (where it is likely to satisfy more people as a lead-up to TOS) and DSC fills out the movie era (where it actually fits in quite well, too).

It isn't, though. This is the time period of the All Good Things future. Look at the make-up they put on future Picard in that episode. He looked 2 decades older than Stewart looks right now.

I think this now more than before.

Because he is doing an interview to sell a show and will say any old bollocks to get people to watch.

Or because next year there’s going to be a Pike series and Spock will be on that show, not DSC.

Or...(fill in the blank)

There are always...possibilities. ;)
