Tv show's you're completely obsessed with:(spin off thread)

curb your enthusiasm <(though that may change it's a sort of spin off from sienfield right?)

Nope, it's entirely different and the humor is very different, the kind of thing that's too edgy and uncomfortable for network TV. Seinfeld actually exists in Curb's universe as a TV show and there's a plotline where Larry David tries to do a reunion show. Seinfeld fans would probably hate what happens.

There's no current show I'm even remotely interested in. I decided to give The X-Files another go a few months back and I've become pretty much hooked on it (almost as much as I was back in the day, before it disappeared up its own mythos and its flaws became so apparent. Fringe is an absolutely pathetic wannabe with characters that aren't even a fraction as interesting as Mulder, never mind Scully). Other than that...eh, basically.

"Obsessed" is a very harsh term when applied to my attachment to TV shows. I am not 'obsessed' with anything.

The closest I have come in recent years was with LOST. But of course, that's long over. Shows that are currently on the air that I like are:

NCIS
Bones
Castle
Burn Notice
White Collar
In Plain Sight
The Daily Show/The Colbert Report (although I don't watch every day)

But I wouldn't say that I'm anywhere near 'obsessed' with any of them. If I miss them, it's not the end of the world or anything.

Shows that I have been 'obsessed/nearly obsessed' with in the past (some the very distant past, in fact) are shows like:
DS9
Babylon 5
LOST
BtVS/Angel
The X-Files
nuBSG
Doctor Who (the Tennant years)
Roswell
Firefly
Wonderfalls
Cold Case
The Sopranos
24 (the first 3-4 seasons only though)
Gray's Anatomy (until it got stupid - I quit watching this a couple of years ago now)

Extreme distant past:
Falcon Crest
Cagney & Lacey
Hill Street Blues
LA Law

I think the very first shows I was ever obsessed with were TOS and Dark Shadows, as a child. Sort of a lifetime theme, this SFF thing.

My current comedy obsessions are:

30 Rock
Parks and Recreation
The Big Bang Theory

Probably my biggest current obsession overall is:

American Horror Story

I'd say I reached "obsession" status with these shows:

Angel
Battlestar Galactica
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Lost
True Blood
The Walking Dead

I'm going to add an obsession tv show to my list of 2:

24/7 Road to the Winter Classic (Flyers/Rangers)

Saw last night's episode and that really is one of the best hours of TV in a week. Thank you HBO for this access and for bringing us a show every single hockey fan should be watching.

The only shows I've been obsessed with are DS9, Lost and Dexter. Farscape came close, as does American Horror Story currently.

adding to my list:

Babylon 5
Lexx
farscape
the greatest american hero
misfits of science
3rd rock from the sun
SMALLVILLE
charmed
being human both british and american
misfits on Hulu
Dexter

person of interest

looking forward to Lost Girl coming to sy fy channel to run with being human this january.

I used to really love Code Lyoko on Cartoon Network, if anyone remembers that...
Besides that, I don't watch TV any more ;P
Oh, but I liked Weeds.

Breaking Bad is the only current show that qualifies

I'm obsessed with the remastered TNG that's coming out

I had been obsessed with Heroes, Lost, and Deadwood at one point

I'll always have a kind of obsession for TNG and DS9

A lot of posts here seem to highlight current favourites, but I'll concentrate on shows that I really obsessed with, at various stages in my life:

Batman TAS
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Quantum Leap
The X-Files
The Critic
Daria
Homicide
Oz
Kim Possible
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Southland

I watch a number of current shows, though I'm unsure if any of them really count as an obsession. I guess the show that comes the closest in roughly the last year is Adventure Time. Only animated shows seem to obsess me now, which is interesting; maybe I'm reverting back to childhood, or something.
