^ Man, when even Shout Factory lets you down, who can you turn to? (Well, Mill Creek Entertainment, I guess. They were the ones who finally put out the last 2 seasons of Mad About You when even Shout Factory gave up after Season 5.)
Really? When did that happen? Well, I added it to my wish list. And I finally pulled the trigger on ordering 7 Days. I'm surprised it took me so long but I've been way behind on the DVDs that I already own.
And while they've already been out for a while, apparently BBC Video is doing some print-on-demand re-releases of some of the more expensive out-of-print classic Doctor Who stories. The $20 price point really pisses me off considering I paid $50 a few years ago for "The Time Meddler." I hope this trend continues since I've still got a few minor holes in my collection that are otherwise super expensive, like "The Happiness Patrol" & "The Curse of Fenric."

Just purchased it. I'll give my review after I get it and start watching it. I hope there are notable differences from the DVD set which I already own. Binge watching was not a great idea last time; I got annoyed over the amount of air time allotted to Bandit's barking...I suspect, this will not change. <sigh>
Can your player not cope with imported region 2 PAL DVDs? I completed my collection paying not very much per DVD but then I am in the UK. 625-line analogue PAL (576i in digital media) and the earlier 405-line Marconi-EMI system (for the Hartnell and the Troughton serials) were the original broadcast standard. You lose some definition in the conversion from PAL to NTSC (480i).

Rutland Weekend Television. There's several clips on YouTube, but I'd like to see the complete series, just to have good high quality versions of George Harrison performing The Pirate Song and the first appearance of The Rutles.

-The 80s Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends cartoon. It's been released in the UK but never in the US for some reason. And I don't think that The Incredible Hulk cartoon has ever been released on home video either.
-The Green Hornet from the 1960s. Young Bruce Lee! I can't believe that someone is still sitting on this! You could also include their Batman appearances as a fun bonus feature.
-Undateable. Fun sitcom on NBC, especially after it went live.
I ironically haven't gotten the uncut Jonny Quest BluRay yet, but my birthday is coming up soon.

I agree on The Green Hornet, and I'd also like to add the 1977 live action Spiderman series. I have both on DVD-R converted from my old VHS tapes but I wouldn't mind an official release which would be clearer.The stuff I'd still like to see:

I got mine last week. I've only watched the first 6 eps, so far. I truly enjoy the series, but to tell the truth, I don't see much of any differences over the DVD. Then again, I last watched the DVD version over 10 years ago. I think I'll watch the special features next. Maybe those will explain the differences. My wife's first comment was that the show looks like a James Bond movie, and I said, "Yep," with a smile on my face. We were looking at the advanced technology like the voice recognition computers (but no CRT screens, yet), laser weapons, hydrofoil boats, snow fan sleds, rockets, mummiesI ironically haven't gotten the uncut Jonny Quest BluRay yet, but my birthday is coming up soon.

Off the top of my head, I understand that politically-incorrect dialogue like Race Bannon calling a native tribe "you heathen monkeys" in the episode "Pursuit of the Po-Ho" has been restored. It was looped out on the DVD release. If you check the scene where Race is painted purple and emerges out of the water, you'll see that his mouth keeps moving, but the dialogue has been omitted.
Most importantly, they restored the proper credits for every episode. The DVD set used the end credits for only two episodes out of the original 26. Most of the episode credits that they used were from an episode that didn't contain a credit for series creator Doug Wildey. That's like omitting Gene Roddenberry's credit from Star Trek. And of course, that also meant that dozens of other people who worked on the show were either miscredited, or not credited at all. I'm glad that decades-old slight is finally being corrected.

It’s interesting the the live-action “Spider-Man” hasn’t hit DVD or Blu-Ray yet with all the Marvel films. Surely the home video rights are not the issue, seeing as how the series was released on Laserdisc, Betamax & VHS in the 80’s And 90’s And the producers specifically filmed transition scenes to go from one episode to the next (except the Season 2 opener, as that was the lone duck that couldn’t be paired up).
Mill Creek is releasing Charlie's Angels the complete series on blu-ray on 10/29/19. The set also will have the 2011 reboot series.
If the show wasn't that well-known enough to get a Region 1 DVD release, then it wouldn't get one, because it might not sell well.
I wonder why Blake's 7 was never put on DVD worldwide-it isn't that long of a show (three seasons), has no music problems, and would seem to have a ready-made audience that would buy it a lot. Also, in an article at the SyFy channel's website, somebody mentioned it in a list of shows that should be remade like Battlestar Galactica was.
The show's now considered by Marvel Studios (and Stan Lee) to be an Old Shame, they want it to be forgotten, and I agree with that; if the tech didn't exist to portray Spidey and his universe good enough, why waste time making it into a TV series?
Universal and Marvel would've been right on the money with Captain America and Doctor Strange, but just like the Hulk, they fucked up those ones too (not having the Captain be in the 1940's fighting the Red Skull, the NSDAP/Hydra alongside Bucky? That should have been cheap enough for Universal to do much as how Warner's was doing Wonder Woman at the same time, and they could've changed it to the present after one season if the show succeeded.) The Doctor Strange TV movie pilot was also a fuck-up as well (having him be a shrink instead of a stuck-up neurosurgeon who has to learn to be a better person, getting rid of his motivation to be the Sorcerer Supreme, having him fight Morgana LeFay instead of Baron Mordo, not having the Ancient One be Asian, black, brown, or a least a woman [this movie did it first, casting Ralph Richardson as Ancient One])-why would anybody care for these shows now, when Marvel made better versions eventually?
Said streaming service is (probably) only going to be concerned with current day shows, particularly new and original productions, just like how Netflix does things.

I was just watching the 90’s X-Men and thinking how nice it would be to have the series remastered from its film masters into 1080p or 4K and released on Blu-Ray. Same goes for the 90’s Spider-Man.

1. Nothing Sacred - a late 90’s drama that alienated conservative Catholics in the late ‘90s by touching on controversial topics.
2. Eli Stone - The Jonny Lee Miller series, a Greg Berlanti production. Yes, I know it’s on DVD. But with those elaborate dance numbers and bright colors, it needs to be in high definition. Pushing Daisies got a Blu Ray release. Why not Eli?

Did someone already mention The John Larroquette Show?
“Twice In A Lifetime”. The series ran from 1999-2001 on PAX in the US and CTV in Canada. VSC released 2 DVD’s with only 4 of the 44 episodes in the early-2000’s, but there’s been nothing since. The series started Al Waxman as Judge Othniel and Gordie Brown as Mr. Jones in Season 1 and Paul Popowich was Mr. Smith in Season 2. The series was cancelled when Al Waxman passed away during heart surgery. I recorded some episodes on S-VHS a few years ago when VisionTV was re-airing the series. It’s similar to “Touched By An Angel” in that the series stars play supporting roles and the guest stars take the lead. But unlike Angel, rather than helping people while they are alive, Twice has the guest star(s) character dying, going to heaven, where Judge Othniel determines where they go, and then sends them back to a pivotal point in their character’s life (I.e. when they began to smoke) in order to change the outcome of their life. But they only have 3 days to convince their younger self to change. And Mr. Jones or Smith would accompany the person.
I could probably hack my player to play R2 stuff but I'm enough of a persnickety COLLECTOR that it would drive me nuts to have the box art not match for everything. However, I've now filled all of my holes except for "The Happiness Patrol."
As I understand it, the rights for The Green Hornet are even more convoluted than those for Batman. And given what a herculean task it was to acquire all the rights to make Batman possible and that Batman is way more popular than The Green Hornet, I just don't think that there's anyone out there willing to make the effort.
I wonder. But since the online store for BBC America is getting into the manufacture-on-demand game, maybe we'll finally start to see R1 releases of some of these long-missed Europe-only releases like Blake's 7, Brittas Empire, Maid Marian & Her Merry Men, and Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased).
