The Whole Truth was actually pretty good. It reminded me of FOX's Justice... but... it got worse numbers than The Forgotten.

The Whole Truth didn't interest me at all...looks like it didn't interest anyone else either.

Wednesday night is my guilty pleasure night. I watched ANTM, Survivor, and the 4 ABC comedies. I'm happy to see better numbers for The Middle (vastly underrated) and Cougar Town (cursed by its own title, though I enjoyed the "Still Cougar Town" title card last night) than they were getting last year - hopefully they both keep up in that middling range.

Better With You was alright - I mostly only watched for Debra Jo Rupp, but the whole show and cast have promise. Modern Family I still don't love like the rest of the world seems to, I just had it on while waiting for CT to start.

Winners...
Survivor, Criminal Minds, The Defenders, Law & Order: SVU and Modern Family

Honorable Mention...
The Middle and Cougar Town

Solid...
Undercovers, Hell’s Kitchen and Better with You

Losers...
America’s Next Top Model, Hellcats and The Whole Truth

Round-Up...
CBS remains the one to beat with Survivor and Criminal Minds showing no signs of slowing down. The Defenders starts off well but with the typical erosion after the 1st week, it might find itself to be in danger from the very picky CBS.

Undercovers skews rather older than I expected with those solid viewer figures but a poor demo to match, when did NBC become such an old timer network?...Law & order SVU continues to be the only show on NBC that gets good ratings week in & week out without the words NFL in the title.

The Middle benefits from not being on at the 8:30pm slot and should anchor the night well throughout the season. However I still think The Middle could get Modern Family type ratings if placed on after that ABC hit. Half hour comedies have a greater chance of building an audience after the pilot so Better with You might do ok but ABC will have no trouble getting rid am sure with the Matthew Perry show ready for mid-season. As for The Whole Truth, what can I say other than ABC 10pm your chances were bad before they put you with 4 comedies.

FOX continues its modest start with Hells Kitchen, which always gives a nice demo though being dirt cheap to make also helps. However I feel because it can afford to have such modest ratings that it should be moved to thursday at 9pm and allow Fringe to kick off the wendesday night though J.J might not like having to his new NBC show compete with his other show on FOX.

CW worst nightmare has arrived...Next Top Model is below 3 million, oh well CW it was nice while it lasted please go away now.

I liked Defenders, good that other people watched it as well.

Not that my viewing affects cancelation and such, but still.

Neither does anyone's here. It's up to some random guy 100 miles away speaking for 10,000 of us.

And The Whole Truth is dead when Law & Order: Los Angeles debuts.

If that's the premiere rating for Undercovers will it really survive to next year? BTW did anyone watch it, was it any good? I skipped it.

The Undercovers demo is low for a show with that audience. It wasn't pitched at old people. That's a bad sign that it isn't hitting the intended market.

You know, that's interesting. As a youngin' myself, I had no interest in the show at all after seeing the previews. But I called up my dad just to tell him that he would probably love it. I can't really pinpoint why it seems like a show for the older crowd.

Same here - I had no interest, but apparently my parents, well above the target demo, both watched it and thought it was ok.

But there's no kind of genre/paranormal/scifi aspect at all, right? Not even pseudo-SF like Chuck? Is there humor? Were there cool action scenes?

Am surprised J.J went to work with NBC due to the fact they could air the next LOST and it would still tank because people don't want to watch NBC shows. I would assume he would of gone back to ABC or even FOX to say hey you know wednesday nights lets put my new show with Fringe from 8-10.

There was no sci-fi in the pilot. Will future episodes have it? I'm not sure if it will. It had some humor and the action was ok. The action was surprisingly muted considering Abrams directed it.
