considering Cupid had a strong lead in (very strong) it didnt score very well at all, god only knows what the show would do without it, then again why is According to Jim still on?

What's the word on Without A Trace Mark, is it expected to return next year? In iscolation those numbers aren't too bad, but we all know that CBS sets their bar that much higher than all the other networks.

^ 12 million, CBS would be mad to axe it, won its timeslot (not quite so good demo wise) but whilst NBC & theCW are keeping shows with nearly a 1/3 of the viewers Without a Trace had, if I was CBS I wouldnt be axing it.

^^ I agree, but the numbers are down on the year-to-year comparisons (I think), and the show's not getting any cheaper to produce.

I suspect you're right though, they WOULD be made to axe it.

Doesn't CBS have a trio of shows that are really $$$$ and that's why they're on the bubble -- Without a Trace, Cold Case and The Unit. Though it looks like they're deliberately trying to sink The Unit with the random new episode in between a bunch of reruns with little publicity.

I think The Unit's pretty much gone sadly. Cold Case and Without A Trace though I expect to survive through to another year.

Eh. Reaper's ep was boring this week. I mainly fast-forwarded it. The notion of
Sam being groomed as the antichrist is fun, but I dunno if these writers know what to do with that idea. But him confusing the antichrist with "the other guy" was cute.

I wonder how the NCIS spinnoff will do ratings wise. I thought the new characters were okay, but not as good as the current team.

I'll guess I'll check it out.

Without A Trace is in trouble because it skews too high which is stupid cause 12 million on 10pm is great. CBS is an older person network and old person have more money and spend more but the only reason networks ad's target 18-49 (really 18-34) is because older people are not swayed as easily by ads.

IMO CBS will cancel Without a Trace but I wouldn't...I would cancel The Unit and have Sundays 9-11pm being CC/WaT and tell both shows to write like it is your last seasons.

Well I suppose either way, WAT has had a good run. Seven seasons can be viewed as a success I think, and Cold Case is running at six seasons so again, not bad. Shame for The Unit though, but I tend to agree, they should have been less reliant on the family crap.

you know if CBS wants to cut one of the shows due to cost, why not combine all 5 shows all the CSIverse (CSI, LV, NY, Mi WaT & Cold Case) in 4 shows. I actually think Cold Case & Without a Trace would merge the most, but its one way of keeping all of them on air.

also its allows CBS to play hard ball with actors salary's.

I didn't know there was going to be an NCIS spin-off... what's it about and when does it start?

Technically, part one of the backdoor pilot was on Tuesday's NCIS, which you can see on CBS.com.

And considering NCIS has exploded in the ratings, the spinoff (NCIS: Legend, perhaps?) will be part of the fall lineup.

Over the next few threads am going to say what I think each network bar CW because I don't care for them might do to improve next season's results. Since were talking about CBS I think as well as pairing up CC/WAT, They should do the same for CSI & CSI NY and it appears there giving it a test run with the season finale of both shows airing on the same night, free for a job CBS

Am I the only one who thinks spinoffs that will be pretty much EXACTLY the same as the parent show shouldn't start until after the parent show ends? Like how many Navy crime dramas and L&Os and CSIs do we really need? The answer is one of each franchise.

I would love to see a CSI show, that is the best characters of all 3 shows, maybe when ratings for the franchise drop and CBS thinks it can only have 1 CSI show on the network, they can do that.
