Dear The Residents of USA.
How many times can you watch the same episode of "Charlie Brown" its the same episode every year, do you not remeber what happened last year, the year before that & the decade before that?
You do this every holiday, ABC puts on the Charlie Brown specail, like it did the year before that, and the year before that? what keeps you coming back?
Until such a time as you stop watching Charlie Brown 11 million at a time, I am changing your output to UK output, you will instead enjoy Im a celebrity get me out of here, New Tricks, The Devils Whore & Dangerous Adventures for Boys with Bradley Walsh.

How does the UK watch Raymond Briggs' The Snowman each and every year?
Plus (unless the situation has changed in the past few years), they show Santa Claus: The Movie each and every Christmas as well - how is that any better than showing the same Charlie Brown?

fair point but its not primetime.
I don't watch those specials, but they are tradition. It's the holidays and if it brings families together, I don't have a problem with it.
Simple answer we don't, our channels are cheap during the X mas period and don't care about ratings unless major primetime.

ABC dominated with the season finale of the unstoppable DWTS and the yearly powerhouse Charlie Brown though ABC won't have smiles next year when The Bachelor takes over for DWTS and gets single digits every week.
NCIS & The Menatlist remain a good duo and also improved over the NCIS/Unit partnership but 10pm is a worry because I smell "SHARK". Without A Trace is doing virtually what SHARK did last year and that is double digits in viewers but one of the worst 10pm demo's and while I would be happy that the former friday night show is doing decent work, this is CBS. I think it things don't improve then CBS should put the show back to friday nights and try Numbers instead assuming Flashpoint holds its friday slot this season.
House was a longer episode so my guess is the show actually got over 12.5 million and Fringe got around 8.5 million but very very worrying was a big drop for Fringe to low 7 million for last 30 mins...
My guess is DWTS is to blame, but still people tuned out which is probably not all of DWTS fault. I will be interested to see next weeks numbers.
NBC had a season & series low but I think DWTS is the main culprit for that so no long term damage done plus L&O SVY series low would be series highs for others (Including other network shows).

A rare slip from our esteemed OP---Without a Trace was orginally a Thursday show, which was replaced by Shark when it transferred to Sundays. Numb3rs was always a Friday show. Back in the day, Fridays at ten was regarded as the death slot. Numb3rs is the scripted show that has had the greatest success there in maybe decades?
With serialized shows, which have huge difficulty in acquiring new viewers once underway, any loss in core audience is disturbing. But it's too soon to tell if Fringe is just having a bad holiday as yet.

Well still I feel fridays could the best result if ratings continue there slide.
