PS - NBC have uncancelled Trauma apparantly and will order more episodes.

The hold for V from ep2 to ep3 is fairly good. Seems like a stabilization.

Good news for V that it went up in the finals for viewers as reported by "Out of mind Vulcan" and that it also went up in the last 30 mins compared to first 30 mins.

Also I won't be around tommorow to post Thursday Numbers so could some one else do that, I would suggest TV By The Numbers due to Marc Berman/Travis have been posting 30 mins only this week.

So who thinks V will actually get more episodes?

Rumors have it that it's getting the post-Lost death slot. :p Which means it'll be back in the spring for a full season run and if by some miracle has whatever element it is that the other occupants were missing, and hangs onto Lost's audience to an even remote degree, it could be rewarded with another season.

But it's gonna have to amp up the crowd-pleasing elements and kill that damn whiny teenager.

The real achilles heel is the demos. I would have expected it to have strong demos vs its total viewership, a la Heroes, but it just seems average rather than following the sci fi genre pattern. That gives it less of a cushion, although the numbers are still strong enough to merit it some network help (if you can call the double-edged sword of the post-Lost deathslot "help"). :rommie:

Looks like I'll have to tape V since I can't watch anything after Lost due to a combination of time needed to digest what I saw and post episode discussion.

Some programming news:

Lost returns on Tuesday, February 2 with an all-night event, starting with a one-hour recap at 8pm and then a two-hour season premiere at 9pm. From Tuesday, February 9 it'll air in the 9pm timeslot.

Chuck will have a two-hour premiere on Sunday, January 10 and then begin airing in its regular timeslot of 8pm on Monday nights the following night. Heroes will have a two-hour airing on January 4, starting at 8pm, and then shift to the 9pm Monday timeslot on January 11.
