V amazes me.

It never really loses viewers, it has a weak, but very loyal fanbase.

My only thought is why?

I might as well post it here, as am sure many of you can guess my main show this year is Fringe so I try to keep in the loop and hope unlike previous years it can avoid fates of my past favourite shows but today the fans were fed two lumps of complete B/S...

Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly has insisted that he is pleased with the ratings performance of Fringe

He hinted that Fringe was more secure than Human Target & Lie To Me

So despite dropping to a 1.4, their happy...please don't give us false hope its mean.

However this one was really laughable...

showrunners Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman said that
We’ve been told, as long as we’re getting a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating or whatever, that’s okay for Friday nights, man!

Total Bollocks, seriously I want what they smoke . Unless WB as said pretty much they will pay for FOX to air Fringe, I just cannot see it can you.

What I don't get is why they give out false hope?

Because it's Fox.

However I can see WB begging Fox to cheap it on the air because the DVD movie is so great. WB should have yelled at Fox years ago for moving it off Monday nights, the show could have easily gotten 5-6 seasons and that's all you really need. Now WB will only get 66 episodes instead of 10-140.

At this rate Fox and WB should just come out and say that the show is moving to CW. What's the point of WB pretty much paying Fox to air the show? They might as well just have CW air it themselves. A 1.2 for a show that cost millions an episode to make and 3 million viewers? Even Terminator I think got more viewers.

It just doesn't make sense to keep the show on the air on Fox unless WB is paying for everything.

But if WB is paying for everything it doesn't make sense to even have the show on Fox at all.

Desperation. There is almost nothing good to watch, especially in the sf/f genre, and the show has "improved" to the point where it's kinda entertaining in a wacky, violent, gross-out, I-can't-believe-they-did-that way.

God I hope the 2011-12 pilot season gives us something decent to watch.
