TV Ratings (Thursday 6th October) + Friday

Here are the demo ratings for CBS's crime shows from Sunday the 2nd October to Thursday the 6th October (bear in mind that 9pm drama shows generally deliver better ratings, and are therefore held to a higher ratings standard, than drama shows at 8pm or 10pm, although there are exceptions to the rule, such as NCIS):

NCIS (8pm) - 4.2/12
Criminal Minds (9pm) - 3.8/10
NCIS: LA (9pm) - 3.4/9
Hawaii Five-O (10pm) - 3.2/8
CSI (10pm) - 2.9/8
The Mentalist (10pm) - 2.7/7
Person of Interest (9pm) - 2.6/6
Unforgettable (10pm) - 2.5/6

Sorry I didn't get around to posting Friday's numbers but better late then never (Original airings only)...

A Gifted Man - 7.50 million & 1.2/4

Kitchen Nightmares - 3.70 million & 1.5/5

Nikita - 1.60 million & 0.5/2

------------------

CSI: NY - 9.75 million & 1.6/5

Dateline - 5.62 million & 1.3/4

Fringe - 3.24 million & 1.3/4

Supernatural - 1.64 million & 0/7/2

------------------

Blue Bloods - 11.04 million & 1.9/6

Dateline - 6.32 million & 1.5/5

20/20 - 3.44 million & 1.1/3

Is it true fox had said if Fringe's numbers hold they get another season?

Well there not holding so its moot anyway. There were rumors that FOX would be happy with a 1.5 minimum for large parts of the season to warrant some sort of a 5th season but were not getting it.

FRINGE season 4 will be the last.

You said the same about last season.

Should have kept it on after House on Mondays, stupid fucking Fox.

I still think WB will give Fringe some type of closure, even if it's a TV movie on CW.

Even if they said it, they're liars. How well their new shows do will definitely factor into the decision, and that's still being determined.

Instead of Terra Nova? Madness!!! Networks always roll the dice with the new show, vs the old show. The new show might catch fire but it's guaranteed the old show won't. Once ratings go down, they never go back up.

And I assume you mean before House because after House is news.

Hes talking about the 1st season of FRINGE that averaged 9.96 million with demo in the 4.0+ range. FOX thought they could tackle CSI/Greys and The Office with FRINGE and then despite Lie To Me failing in the former monday slot, FOX would not move it back.

Monday ratings is going to be delayed till the finals due to heavily skewed numbers in the overnights.

House aired at 10pm it seems so not a surprise it took a nose dive though the numbers are expected to increase come the finals.

NBC beaten by USA Network. :rommie:

(I'm posting the link mainly for the adorable fail-whale or is that fail-peacock?)

Terra Nova is going down in flames. Time for some drastic changes! Kill off the whole boring family in a dino-chow extravaganza and refocus the whole thing around Taylor, Mira and the mystery of Taylor's son.

That will let them cut back on main cast salaries and maybe make the show more watchable.

Maybe they just need to understand what's working for USA - they've got a show type that gets a decent sized (not enormous) audience - cute/quirky characters, breezy writing - and they deliver it consistently.

It seems like every show USA launches succeeds (by cable standards). People go to USA to get what they want the way people go to McDonalds to get burgers. Nobody watches NBC because they don't serve up anything anyone wants to eat. Pretty soon, people forget they exist, and it doesn't matter if they do serve up something good.

NBC needs to suss out a show style that's not being adequately served, and just do a lot of that. Taking a stab at what that might be, I'd say serialized mystery/adventure/genre shows that don't suck. I guess that last part is where the holdup is. :rommie:

Final ratings out. HOUSE and Terra Nova still did quite badly.

Terra Nova 7.000 million 2.5 18-49 Rating
HOUSE 6.850 million 2.7 18-49 Rating

House will easily bounce back but 2.7 demo rating at 10pm is fantastic, seems House just loss its older viewers to CBS/ABC.

Yeah the good news for Terra Nova is that it's getting a fairly high demo from a mere 7M viewers. Too bad it's not on NBC.
