All NBC shows can't be shit so I wonder why is there such a stigma lately with NBC shows, no one wants to watch them. Has NBC offended the entire nation ? or something :p

Fringe and Bones will never make a good partner even if they were on a different night. Look at the demo difference its not that much despite the 4 million gap in viewers...

Bones skews an older audience that are not interested in Fringe but most likely turn over to CBS to watch CSI. Bones is a solid FOX show but its a dream CBS show and the wrong lead in for a SCI FI show already being hammered by CSI/Greys/Office.

MOVE FRINGE FFS :scream:

I don't know why Fox would move Fringe. The ratings are down, but if they're good enough for that time slot in their eyes (compared to what they tried to run there in the past) and they're gonna keep the show going on that time slot, what's the loss?

^
Because Fringe is not cheap to make and scoring 5.5 million with a demo under 2.0 will lead you to be cancelled. Kitchen Nightmares has aired there before and did better then Fringe and is MUCH MUCH cheaper to make so could afford ratings like that.

The Mentalist had better ratings than CSI last year. I don't like it anymore, though. I've begun to really, really hate the Thomas Jane character. I tried watching the season premiere and was still annoyed with the show.

What a changed world... The Mentalist does better than CSI now?
CSI has been declining since William Petersen left. plus it's in it's 11th season while The Mentalist is in season 3. Still it looks CSI has a few more years of life left it in.

I like Community(which I have to see via a friends DVR) and The Office.

30 Rock on the other hand is way, way, way overrated as a critical darling and undeserving of its Emmys...imo.

I am liking $#*! My Dad Says and expected a fall off in this range so I'm not shocked. I'm hoping for half as much or better drop off next week as I hope it begins to stablize. I really am optimistic its just suffered its biggest week-to-week hit.

I knew The Big Bang Theory was going to kill Community. Well, being on NBC is killing Community, but you know what I mean.

Yeah they cancelled L&O.

Fringe will be fine. Fox is really stupid for not moving it back to Mondays at 9, even even sometimes Wednesday, but it's probably too late to gain back viewers now. It is expensive to make, but it's filmed in Canada now so that is cheaper. Plus I think Fox wants it to do badly because they make no money from the DVD sales, WB owns the show. This way Fox can get WB to fund more of the show. Just a crazy theory.

SpoilerTV.com is reporting ABC has officially axed My Generation, effective immediately. Not surprising in the slightest. No word on what'll replace it in the schedule next week.

the Whole Truth will probably get the ax soon too. A lot of the new shows this season are just tanking like crazy. Very few of this Fall shows will make it to next year. I know that's usually the case but it seems even worse this year for some reason.

Anyone know 'on average' how many new shows survive per Fall season? That way maybe we could judge if this year is going to be any different than prior years.

I doubt that it's any different really. It may seem that way if a show(s) your trying out is struggling or gets canned. The only new show I really am liking is $#*! My Dad Says but if it gets axed it doesn't mean this Fall season has been harsher than most.

Re: TV Ratings (Friday 1st October)

What happened to the new Dana Delany show, I thought it was supposed to be on Fridays on ABC? Has it been held back?
