Can I just add "The Big Bang" was just pure bags of awesome.

Solid ratings for TVD & TSC. :) And I believe TSC was up a tenth. :bolian:

I am so bummed that Parks and Rec is doing so badly. I love that show.

I am not bummed, however, to see Person of Interest doing nicely. That's probably my favorite new show this season.

Well, I haven't started watching American Horror Story yet, so....

Its demo rating is quite weak for its time slot by CBS standards. It's got a full season order, but it's by no means a shoo-in for second season renewal (although I wouldn't be surprised if they renew it and move it to a 10pm time slot).

Edit to add: in the final ratings The Vampire Diaries rose to a 1.5 in the demo, beating the 1.4 that Community scored. This episode of TVD set a new season high for the show in total viewers. The Secret Circle was adjusted down to a 0.9 in the finals, matching the demo of its previous episode. The 2.31 million it drew in total viewers is the highest number since its premiere. Person of Interest adjusted up to a 2.7 in the demo, which is even with the previous week, although it was down a bit in total viewers. Prime Suspect was adjusted down to a 1.1 in the demo. Its first run demo average is now lower than Charlie's Angels.

Grimm's a fun show, not terribly groundbreaking but good enough to hold onto the small numbers that will make it a Friday night success. I don't care what happens to Fringe (or Chuck for that matter).

Even though it was on a Friday and up against Game 7 of the Wold Series, Grimm had the best premiere for a new drama show on NBC this season, both in total viewers and in the demo.

grimm was awesome and chuck was a good season opener. still wished they would be on monday night. person of interest is a fantastic new show I love it.

now for those who watch it on there web site does that count torwards there ratings.

Was The Office a new episode? For some reason it didn't record on Thursday night, and my parents said it didn't record for them either, so I figured it was a repeat. If not...that's weird.

Persons of Interest is starting to feel like a 10pm show with the ratings and its no doubt 50/50 at the moment. A pity because the latest episode was outstanding especially for the Finch character.

I guess I don't understand how these things work. Isn't Person of Interest winning its time slot, according to these numbers?

Is that not good enough these days?

It usually wins its time slot in total viewers, but it's the 18-49 rating that really matters and in those terms it typically comes fourth in its first half-hour and third in its second half-hour.

And it has been picked up for a full season....

Its done enough to be picked up but CBS are probably hoping for better numbers. CBS has cancelled shows doing better than POI so it really cannot afford to drop anymore 18-49 viewers.

The CW would kill for a show that had 11 million viewers, even if they were all over 100 years old!
