----------------------------------------------------

Next week "My Dad Says" will end its run and what a pity that the weak pilot probably ended any hopes of a long run because after that, it did generally improve. I've always had my doubts that the obviously older skewing show would not fit the lead in audience from TBBT. However it would make a PERFECT partner for the ABC show "The Middle" and CBS should try and shop it around.

Theres not much ABC can do at 8pm up against Idol, TBBT and TVD so Wipeout is doing a decent job. Private Practice has become nothing more than a proped up show whose reign would collapse quicker than a Egyptian's dictatorship without the lead in support of Greys.

NBC cannot compete against Idol and soon to be X Factor + TBBT in the 8-9 slot. I would say the wide open wednesday nights might be the place for a new comedy block but either way, 30 Rock should be on at 8pm not 10pm.

Nikita has been downgraded to "Likely to be cancelled" because I hear it's between Hellcats and Nikita and the waste of TVD lead in plus am sure less appeal to the 18-34 demo means lights out. However should the ageing OTH be axed instead, both could be saved...either way TVD needs a better lead out.

I am so seriously disappointed by Nikita's numbers. First with OTH and Hellcats (two shows I couldn't care about if you paid me) get a .7 in adults 18-49 and some fairly weak adult 18-34 and women 18-34 numbers, I was thinking ok, here is where Nikita can appear to be a stronger show. So of course what does it do also hits a .7 in adults, and a .7 in adults 18-34 (only three original episodes on the CW this year have hit a .7 in adults 18-34, one was an episode of Lux, and two were episodes of Nikita, ouch).

And for those who think well it appeals to men more then women, well perhaps in the age group 50 plus, but it got a estimated .4 in men 18-34. Thats terrible.

The CW ordered a pilot based on another LJ Smith book series "The Secret Circle" so if that gets picked up it will probably join TVD in the fall.

^ Would seem like a better matchup.

Next thread is Fringe Fridays and with no CBS superbowl ad show I am assuming Fringe will uptick at least to 1.7 I hope :mallory:

Shame about My Dad Says - those numbers would be pretty good on any other network. :(

OTH will most likely get a final 13 episode season, so between Hellcats and Nikita I'd agree, bye bye Nikita, Hellcats is a better fit.

There was a new Community last night? Some crappy Valentine's special aired here instead before Perfect Couples.

I'll post the thread later but its over a 1.4 for Fringe...

Everything was down on friday.

Are networks and advertisers gonna realize TV isn't what it was 10 years...15 years ago?

Unless Fringe climbs back to a 1.6 then the show is dead and I am going to stop watching it as of now because I can't bear to watch a story like Fringe's get no ENDING.

But if you stop watching it now then you definitely won't get an ending ;)

Better than watching it go towards an unresolved cliffhanger. Fringe MUST go up next week or FOX might as well cancel it there & then.

I really really hate the invention of the DVR device at the moment because that and a really poor way of measuring TV Ratings, has killed too many of my TV shows.
