Next week "My Dad Says" will end its run and what a pity that the weak pilot probably ended any hopes of a long run because after that, it did generally improve. I've always had my doubts that the obviously older skewing show would not fit the lead in audience from TBBT. However it would make a PERFECT partner for the ABC show "The Middle" and CBS should try and shop it around.
Theres not much ABC can do at 8pm up against Idol, TBBT and TVD so Wipeout is doing a decent job. Private Practice has become nothing more than a proped up show whose reign would collapse quicker than a Egyptian's dictatorship without the lead in support of Greys.
NBC cannot compete against Idol and soon to be X Factor + TBBT in the 8-9 slot. I would say the wide open wednesday nights might be the place for a new comedy block but either way, 30 Rock should be on at 8pm not 10pm.
Nikita has been downgraded to "Likely to be cancelled" because I hear it's between Hellcats and Nikita and the waste of TVD lead in plus am sure less appeal to the 18-34 demo means lights out. However should the ageing OTH be axed instead, both could be saved...either way TVD needs a better lead out.
